Staying at Home Mom vs. Working Mom Many women have careers before they began their family. But once the first child arrives, it is time to
decide whether to be a stay–at–home mom or to go back to work. There are many factors that go into this decision and it is different for every family.
Making a decision to stay at home with the children or join the workforce can be a difficult process. I have been fortunate to experience being a
stay–at–home mom for three years. I've come o realize the benefits of becoming a stay–at–home mom versus a working mom is having more time with
the children, less stress, and it saves financially. One of the...show more content...
The best part of staying at home is setting my own schedule and getting to do fun things with my kids. Each set of parents has an idea of how they
want their children to be raised. No one can raise children the way parents want except the parents themselves. There is a special bonding and
interaction that grows and takes place between parents and children when either parent is able to stay at home. Sharing everyday life with kids, seeing
them growing on a daily basis and giving the love and attention the need can make both parents and kids

Parents; My Mom and Dad
PARENTS; MY MOM AND DAD KATHERINE RYON BAKER COLLEGE Some could think that there parents would be more similar than
different, because they had enough in common to have a child together. Some could also think their differences would not have much of an effect on
their kids, especially if they are young. Neither one of these statements are true. Children see things parents would like to think are hidden. They also
realize things that are going on adults think they are not able to understand. It is possible not to become a product of your environment; being your
own person. My parents are as opposite as they come, but they have the most important things in common. My dad has made major improvements in
himself since I was born. It is...show more content...
If that was not the case, he would yell at me for reasons I just could not understand. All I would have to do is walk out of a room and be screamed
at for some reason that he could not even manage to explain to me. When he would realize he was wrong, he would come apologize and buy me
things to make up for the way he acted. He also got in the habit of making it sound like going with him to get drunk with his buddies, and to watch
everyone get stoned was a reward. When I would come home from a weekend at my father's house, my mom would have the hardest time
'snapping me back to reality', that is what she always called it. My attitude got me in trouble, and my behavior was terrible. I had the attitude that I
did not care what people said, I would do what I wanted. Like I said, my mom being the only dictator, this did not work out to my advantage. We
bumped heads like no other, and my mom did not like the person that I turned into when I would leave. She did not understand how things could
change so fast. She was disgusted by how I would disrespect her, because she knew she had not raised me to talk to people the way I learned to
from my dad. This made her realize that something was fishy about me going to visit him, so she would try to get me to talk about it. I never did,
but I knew his actions were wrong. I knew I was being verbally abused, but I did not want to lose visitation with my dad. I did not want to talk about the

Whether you know it or not, there is a great underground debate about which mom is the best and which is the best for the kids. Are working moms
better than stay–at–home moms? Or vice versa?
I 've always been a working mom but there have been many moments that I wanted to just be a stay–at–home mom; Ahhh, the simplicity! The way I
figure it, it would make my life much easier because I do everything a stay at home mom does plus I work. So wouldn 't it be much easier to just be a
stay–at–home mom? I would have plenty of time to get groceries, housework, fill out the required 500 pages of daycare and school forms, meal
planning and preparation...heck, I would even have time to make homemade bread if I wanted to! Or at the very least a homemade meal rather than
the ever delicious hamburger helper or cereal for dinner.
Just when I 'm wishing I were a stay at home mom the weekend starts and I have two full glorious days with my children. Throughout the course of the
weekend I have been asked, "mom, will you wipe my butt" on approximately

Differences Between My Mother And Father
Growing up in the same household for eighteen years has made it very easy for me to distinguish the differences and similarities between my mother
and father. Being the only child, I've gotten most, if not all, of my parents' attention and with that I've been able to examine my parents' characteristics
without any disturbance from siblings.
My parents had opposing views on many things. They were opposites when it came to parenting, socializing and behaving, but the major differences in
my parents' characteristics became easily noticeable when I made the transition from elementary school to middle school. It was a few weeks before my
first day in middle school when both of my parents received an automated phone call regarding open house....show more content...
Over time, I began to notice that my mother was stricter and my dad was more lenient when it came to finishing up my work and enjoying my free
time. My mom always wanted me to do extra studying so I could do well in school, while my father would take me out to the park or the swimming
pool. He thought that in order to perform well in school I had to take breaks and relax my mind while my mother just wanted me to study and complete
homework nonstop with very little time for recreation.
Being a child, I sometimes caused trouble in my classrooms, and as a result I would usually get a phone call home. I would always beg that my
teachers call my father instead of my mother since she was so strict. My father wouldn't punish me much, he would just warn me not to cause trouble
again. Unlike my dad, my mother always expected the best of me. She wanted me to be an exact duplicate of her. If I got in trouble and she found out
I would always expect my games to be taken away.
Over the course of the school year, both of my parents would always take interest in my activities. I noticed that when it came to similarities they
both were really supportive and encouraging. I was enrolled in the Canyon Vista Band, where I played the trumpet. I was also part of the middle
school 's Football team. Both my mother and father would encourage me to try my best to excel in school–related activities. They would always come
as a pair to watch my performances and

Personal Statement : Mom And Dad- Essay
Mom & Dad–
A couple months back, Mom suggested I write a letter explaining my future intentions with Nick since I am much more eloquent in letter than in verbal
discussion. Recently I've felt compelled to complete this letter as our discussions have become more blatantly focused on the eventual blending of our
lives.
First off, I can't thank you both enough for the time and investment you have put into your marriage. I would be a lot more hesitant entering into such a
serious commitment without coming from a strong foundation. The majority of my peers have dealt with the sting of divorce, and I know from
hearing first hand stories what devastation and self–confidence shattering this does to the family as a whole. "Divorce is the result of a lack of
preparation for marriage and the failure to learn the skills of working together as teammates in an intimate relationship." Looking back at your years as
young parents, you really prepared our family and started the foundation of a Christ–centered home beginning with praying for Jake and I incessantly at
young ages. I am convinced that those prayers saved us from countless experiences of pain. Every step that I have taken has been ultimately guided
by God (whether I invited Him in the decision making process or not) because of the constant prayers and support you have provided me. Now that I
am an adult, I can see the ripple effect of that time and devotion, and I am extremely thankful for that.

Descriptive Essay About My Dad
Have you ever had a hero in your life, someone that is always there for you when you need them? I did, I called him "my dad." My dad was the only
person that could make me laugh when I was feeling down. My dad was that person who had so much love for his family. My dad was the person who
I could call and he'd always pick up. My dad was the person who would drop everything just to help me. My dad was the biggest hero in my life and to
this day, still is.
My dad has always been my biggest motivator and the reason for growing up the way I did. We had a very tight relationship; I was definitely a
"daddy's girl." I always wanted to be around him, he was someone I looked up to when I was younger. I always looked at him like he was so much more

He was paying out of pocket for everything because the government kept on denying his request for disability and social security income. I remember
always seeing him take fifteen pills at a time with every meal he would eat.
My dad got diagnosed with prostate cancer in early 2014. It was a hard year for my family, and I still remember it like it was yesterday. Not even in my
worst dreams did I ever see my dad having cancer. The man that I looked up to, and loved to pieces had cancer. I was devastated, I remember crying
and being afraid that I was going to lose him to an incurable disease that lurked the lives of many.
About a year after being diagnosed, his doctor told him that he was cancer free. He was so happy; his face was all smiles. I had never seen him so
happy in his entire life. It was such a beautiful sight seeing my old mans face that lit up, he told everyone that he was cancer free. I was so proud of
my father for being that strong, cancer couldn't even bring him down.
Early 2016, my dad became very ill and it wasn't going away. He realized that going to the emergency room was his only option. My mom took him
to the emergency room, and they transferred him to the Lovelace cancer center. They explained to him that he had stage 4 colon cancer and there was
nothing more they could do. The doctor who told him the news told him that he would have 6 months to live after his colonoscopy had taken place. It

The family member that inspires me the most if my dad. My dad has been an amazing person for as long as I can remember. He has been successful
ever since he came from Malaysia, he is very talented in many ways, he is hardworking, and almost never gives up. My dad has encouraged me to
always do my best, always study hard, and to be the best person I can be. If my dad was not here, I think I would be a very different person than who I
am today. My dad has also inspired me to one day become a great doctor like him. In this essay I will go more in depth and tell you how much of an

My Family, My Dad Essay
My immediate family is rather small, it consists of my Dad age 55, my Mom age 60 and myself age 21. All three of us are Caucasian. My Mom
and Dad got married when they were much older, and they did not have me until they were 40 years of age. They are a little more traditional and they
each take on their own roles in the family along with myself. My mother works Monday to Friday however she is the one who cooks the meals
every evening, the one who cleans the house, does laundry and does the grocery shopping. My Dad works a longer day and makes the majority of
our household income. He comes home and enjoys his evening watching the news and then sports. I go to school, work, and then I come home to a
home cooked meal, and a clean house. The boundaries are fairly rigid in my household, my dad mostly stays away from the cooking, grocery
shopping and cleaning as that is my mother's role in the house and as much as she can complain about it I do believe she would be lost without it.
There are only two subsystems identified in my family, they would be husband–wife, and parent–child.
External Structure
The external structure falls into two subcategories which consists of the extended family and large systems.
Extended Family
My mothers extended family consists of her father Borden who died at the age of 70 from Alzheimer's. Her mother who still lives on her own in
Halifax at the age of 92 with no major health concerns. She also has two sisters Beverly 65 who lives in Halifax and

Personal Narrative : My Mom And Dad Essay
Researchers have always said that opposites attract. They couldn't have been more right in my parents' case. My mom and dad have many differences
and few similarities, but they get along all the same. My mom is very timely, organized, quiet, and conservative; whereas, my father is the complete
opposite of all of these traits. One similarity they have is that they both love to be active and outside. My mother and father go together like icing and
cupcakes, but despite their compatible traits, like being sporty, they have very different personalities and views. Ever since I can remember my
mom has always been in great shape. She loves to be outside and play sports. When I was five she started a summer volleyball league, and recently she
started a winter league as well. She plays volleyball year round and it keeps her in great shape. My family has always been active, and it was always
nice to have someone play outside with me. My mom is also a fitness junkie and loves to workout. She always drinks protein smoothies in the
morning and runs on the treadmill after work. As a family we all enjoy to be outside and do yard work, and my mom loves to tend to the garden
and pull weeds. My family has always enjoyed being outside rather than inside. Very similar to my mom, my dad loves to have fun outdoors too. He
is very muscular and likes to workout. My dad is also on the same volleyball league as my mom, and they enjoy bonding while they get to play. They
are a great duo on the

My Mom And Dad Got A Divorce
my mom and dad got a divorce when i was just in second grade. there is no doubt my life changed at that point but the changes that were to come
due to the catalyzing effect of something as simple as divorce surpasses anything that my parents or i could have ever imagined at that time.
obviously divorce means splitting time, splitting houses and sometimes changing schools. but for me the divorce was mainly an open door for
new adults to come into the picture, on my dads side everything was simple and remained stagnant, he married to my current step mom who really
had no adverse effects on my life and she has truly become a part of my life and I never had any difficulties coping with her. on my mothers side it
was much more chaotic to say the least, about (2) years after the divorce she found a man named howard. We eventually moved in together in long
grove and life was moving along pretty well. Howard seemed unemployed but he had called himself an entrepreneur and established his credibility
when he made it big with his joystick company in the 1980s. After his company 's success in the 80s he spent the rest of his time trying to find a
different venture chasing that grip on success that he once briefly had. My mom being active in the medical field gave howard inspiration to start up a
company with her. The initial premise of the business was simple yet groundbreaking, his company called mHealth(neovision) provided a medical
service utilizing Cisco video chat for

Working Mom vs Stay at Home Mom
Topic: My Career Goal as a Home Maker/Stay at Home Mom
Question: Can being a Home Maker be viewed as a career?
Central Idea: A home maker plays a vital role in the family setting and in society.
There are Choices to be made when you become a Parent. Just like almost all newly married couples. You have goals of what's next in your lives
together. Finish college and then get that perfect well paying job. Well that is exactly what I had in mind. Wow, what would happen next would be
life changing. We added a little baby boy to our family. I remember telling my boss, "I promise I'm not going to quit my job". The day I gave birth and
I saw that precious baby; I knew I could not leave him to go back to work. How could we make...show more content...
One of my most enjoyable roles that I have in this phase of my stay at home career is my farm. I have started a business, I work on the farm while
my kids are at school and during the summer, I am able to work directly with my children and husband in our cattle and hay operation. This for me
would not be possible if I had an outside job. Now that my children are older 19 and 15 it is rewarding to see the work ethics that have been
instilled in them. Many stay at home moms launch at home business. Even though they may work within the home they are still flexible to take
care of family needs as they arise. Plus it builds the stay at home mom self esteem. In conclusion, the choice is up to the individual person. It may be
right for some and not for others. I do feel that a stay at home mom can be considered a career. I may not receive payment for the jobs that I do but
the greatest payment or blessing in this case is the investment that I have made to my children and the respect that I have from my husband and two
boys for the choice that was

Graduation Speech : My Mom And My Dad
My mom got pregant her senior year of high school and didn't take the time needed to prepare herself to be able to take care of her family. On the
other hand my dad who was also a senior in high school did. They got married and eventually had my sister but the marriage failed after three years.
My mom wasn't stable. Shortly after the divorce my mom remarried then had my half brother and sister.
I went to five different schools by the time I was in sixth grade. Being a migrant family brought a lot of hardships on my mom and the four kids she
had by the time she was twenty–four. Moving while always living with other people was drastic. In sixth grade my mom and step–dad at the time got a
divorce. We moved to another town where my mom decided to hang out with the wrong crowd. There was twelve people living in a two bedroom
house. Thats when the state removed us from that situation. During all the moving I learned to cope: to new surroundings, new people, and new
situations everyday. Nevertheless I moved again. This time it was for the better. At least that's what I thought. The summer after seventh grade I was
diagnosed with type one diabetes. Another challenge I had to learn to cope with.
All of my past expierences have taught me valuables lessons which have helped me become the person I am today. It was hard in school to keep up
with grades while also trying to support my brother, sisters, and the other residents children as well. I was the oldest. I would walk all of us

Essay on A Letter Form Mom and Dad
Prompt: Imagine you are Aunt Pegg. After one week of looking after the children, you write a letter to their parents in which you: * Give your
impressions of the children. * Give an account of your progress with them so far. * Tell your plans for the next week.

Dear Dad/Mom of the kids
I've been looking after you children for a week so today I write this letter just to let you know how we've been doing, and tell you the plans that we will

In order to put them into militaristic manner, I use whistle to make orders: breakfast, lunch, dinner, or just to call them. We have sugarless oat cereal
for breakfast, the kind of breakfast that we always hoped for when we were kids. They don't eat it. They hate it. I don't let them dump the whole meal
to the trash–can, they must not waste food like that, they are given extra chores to do if they keep whining without eating!
On the second day, they seemed to miss you a lot. They don't talk much anymore, they walk slowly, spiritless like little zombies. They behave better,
they don't insult each other, they're quiet while doing their tasks, and I'm really pleased because of that. They're uncommunicative as though they're in
jail. They got better anyways, but I'm not satisfied yet, they still need lots more training to do.
On the third day of the progress, we did some educational lectures. I taught them how to solve some arithmetic sums and add a little speed into it, I
showed them the way that our dad taught us when we were in sixth grade, I still remember it as it was yesterday. I gave them 'Reading Improvement'
plus 'Practical Farmwork', which is the weeds identification and eradication. They didn't focus so I had to pull out a criteria, they can go inside the
house once they can tell me the name of the weeds. They're slow.
This is the thing that surprised me the most, they were about to run away from me, but

My Dad Essay
The man above all the rest, because of his influence on my life, is my dad. He is so special to me that it's hard to put it in words. My dad is the one
who had me knowing in my heart by 7th grade, maybe even sooner, that I wanted to teach someday and that I wanted to coach. My dad was a 5th
and 6th grade teacher for 23 years. During these years he coached track, softball, volleyball, and my favorite sport, basketball. I think I probably had a
basketball in my hands when I was born!

I have so many vivid memories of my dad in front of a classroom captivating his "audience". I remember during a science lesson on the parts of the

for him. He had the ability and opportunity to influence each and every one of their lives. I hope I will someday have a similar influence on my
students. I have many special memories of helping my dad with bulletin boards (not always willingly!), correcting papers (which I did enjoy!), reading
stories for contests, and just observing him.
My dad's a principal now of an elementary school, but he is probably one of the most visible, active principals I've ever known. My dad plays his
guitar and sings during school assemblies. How many principals do that? The kids, teachers, and parents all get a kick out of that. Since he was a
teacher for so many years, the teachers feel more like he is "one of them", not an egotistical administrator that feels he is so much better than
everyone else. He really loves and cares about the kids. He's so proud of the students in his school, always cutting their pictures out of the paper and
having kids be "principal for the day".
Many people have influenced me to become a teacher through their example and their sincere concern for me. Some great people listened to me and

My Parents Compare And Contrast Essay
A few of the characters find out that they are alike their parents by many ways. Me and my mom share a connection just like that. We look alike,
we act the same and everyone seems to know this. At times it is a great connection, others it is not good at all. It plays a big role in our
relationship. A big effect it makes is in arguments. My mom tells me and my sisters about how she acted when she was younger. She tells me
about how responsible she was, when she was younger. The one thing that she never tells us is that she is sensitive, and very dramatic. I know that
I am dramatic, because one year for valentine's day I got a heart of candy saying drama queen. My older sister points out that when me and my
mom stub our toes we both fall to the ground and say "owwwwwww" and as my sisters says we make it way bigger deal than we should have.
Another reason is that we cry at any item that is sad like movies, books, stories. Even when a part is somewhat sad we cry. We are dramatic and
sensitive but it can be good ,because then she can understand when I am upset or sad. It also works the other way around....show more content...

Stay At Home Moms Vs. Working Moms

  • 1. Stay at Home Moms vs. Working Moms Elisha Romine English 101 March 13, 2011 Staying at Home Mom vs. Working Mom Many women have careers before they began their family. But once the first child arrives, it is time to decide whether to be a stay–at–home mom or to go back to work. There are many factors that go into this decision and it is different for every family. Making a decision to stay at home with the children or join the workforce can be a difficult process. I have been fortunate to experience being a stay–at–home mom for three years. I've come o realize the benefits of becoming a stay–at–home mom versus a working mom is having more time with the children, less stress, and it saves financially. One of the...show more content... The best part of staying at home is setting my own schedule and getting to do fun things with my kids. Each set of parents has an idea of how they want their children to be raised. No one can raise children the way parents want except the parents themselves. There is a special bonding and interaction that grows and takes place between parents and children when either parent is able to stay at home. Sharing everyday life with kids, seeing them growing on a daily basis and giving the love and attention the need can make both parents and kids Get more content on HelpWriting.net

My mom is great at cleaning and cooking but my dad is ok at cleaning but I wouldn't go to far on the cooking part. My mom grew up in Antwerp Ohio and this is where a lot of her friends and family is now . My dad grew up in Hebron and that is where all of his family and friends still are to. My mom and dad both worked at a pizza place when they were in college my dad was the one who made the pizzas and my mom was a waitress . My dad loved his job at the pizza place but my mom hated it she did not like her job at the pizza place . My dad also worked at a tire store and my Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Parents; My Mom and Dad PARENTS; MY MOM AND DAD KATHERINE RYON BAKER COLLEGE Some could think that there parents would be more similar than different, because they had enough in common to have a child together. Some could also think their differences would not have much of an effect on their kids, especially if they are young. Neither one of these statements are true. Children see things parents would like to think are hidden. They also realize things that are going on adults think they are not able to understand. It is possible not to become a product of your environment; being your own person. My parents are as opposite as they come, but they have the most important things in common. My dad has made major improvements in himself since I was born. It is...show more content... If that was not the case, he would yell at me for reasons I just could not understand. All I would have to do is walk out of a room and be screamed at for some reason that he could not even manage to explain to me. When he would realize he was wrong, he would come apologize and buy me things to make up for the way he acted. He also got in the habit of making it sound like going with him to get drunk with his buddies, and to watch everyone get stoned was a reward. When I would come home from a weekend at my father's house, my mom would have the hardest time 'snapping me back to reality', that is what she always called it. My attitude got me in trouble, and my behavior was terrible. I had the attitude that I did not care what people said, I would do what I wanted. Like I said, my mom being the only dictator, this did not work out to my advantage. We bumped heads like no other, and my mom did not like the person that I turned into when I would leave. She did not understand how things could change so fast. She was disgusted by how I would disrespect her, because she knew she had not raised me to talk to people the way I learned to from my dad. This made her realize that something was fishy about me going to visit him, so she would try to get me to talk about it. I never did, but I knew his actions were wrong. I knew I was being verbally abused, but I did not want to lose visitation with my dad. I did not want to talk about the Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Working Mom Vs Stay At Home Mom Essay Working Mom Vs Stay At Home Mom By Lisa Carsrud | Submitted On November 29, 2010 Recommend Article Article Comments 1 Print Article Share this article on Facebook 2 Share this article on Twitter 1 Share this article on Google+ Share this article on Linkedin Share this article on StumbleUpon Share this article on Delicious Share this article on Digg 1 Share this article on Reddit Share this article on Pinterest Expert Author Lisa Carsrud Whether you know it or not, there is a great underground debate about which mom is the best and which is the best for the kids. Are working moms better than stay–at–home moms? Or vice versa? I 've always been a working mom but there have been many moments that I wanted to just be a stay–at–home mom; Ahhh, the simplicity! The way I figure it, it would make my life much easier because I do everything a stay at home mom does plus I work. So wouldn 't it be much easier to just be a stay–at–home mom? I would have plenty of time to get groceries, housework, fill out the required 500 pages of daycare and school forms, meal planning and preparation...heck, I would even have time to make homemade bread if I wanted to! Or at the very least a homemade meal rather than the ever delicious hamburger helper or cereal for dinner. Just when I 'm wishing I were a stay at home mom the weekend starts and I have two full glorious days with my children. Throughout the course of the weekend I have been asked, "mom, will you wipe my butt" on approximately Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. Differences Between My Mother And Father Growing up in the same household for eighteen years has made it very easy for me to distinguish the differences and similarities between my mother and father. Being the only child, I've gotten most, if not all, of my parents' attention and with that I've been able to examine my parents' characteristics without any disturbance from siblings. My parents had opposing views on many things. They were opposites when it came to parenting, socializing and behaving, but the major differences in my parents' characteristics became easily noticeable when I made the transition from elementary school to middle school. It was a few weeks before my first day in middle school when both of my parents received an automated phone call regarding open house....show more content... Over time, I began to notice that my mother was stricter and my dad was more lenient when it came to finishing up my work and enjoying my free time. My mom always wanted me to do extra studying so I could do well in school, while my father would take me out to the park or the swimming pool. He thought that in order to perform well in school I had to take breaks and relax my mind while my mother just wanted me to study and complete homework nonstop with very little time for recreation. Being a child, I sometimes caused trouble in my classrooms, and as a result I would usually get a phone call home. I would always beg that my teachers call my father instead of my mother since she was so strict. My father wouldn't punish me much, he would just warn me not to cause trouble again. Unlike my dad, my mother always expected the best of me. She wanted me to be an exact duplicate of her. If I got in trouble and she found out I would always expect my games to be taken away. Over the course of the school year, both of my parents would always take interest in my activities. I noticed that when it came to similarities they both were really supportive and encouraging. I was enrolled in the Canyon Vista Band, where I played the trumpet. I was also part of the middle school 's Football team. Both my mother and father would encourage me to try my best to excel in school–related activities. They would always come as a pair to watch my performances and Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. Personal Statement : Mom And Dad- Essay Mom & Dad– A couple months back, Mom suggested I write a letter explaining my future intentions with Nick since I am much more eloquent in letter than in verbal discussion. Recently I've felt compelled to complete this letter as our discussions have become more blatantly focused on the eventual blending of our lives. First off, I can't thank you both enough for the time and investment you have put into your marriage. I would be a lot more hesitant entering into such a serious commitment without coming from a strong foundation. The majority of my peers have dealt with the sting of divorce, and I know from hearing first hand stories what devastation and self–confidence shattering this does to the family as a whole. "Divorce is the result of a lack of preparation for marriage and the failure to learn the skills of working together as teammates in an intimate relationship." Looking back at your years as young parents, you really prepared our family and started the foundation of a Christ–centered home beginning with praying for Jake and I incessantly at young ages. I am convinced that those prayers saved us from countless experiences of pain. Every step that I have taken has been ultimately guided by God (whether I invited Him in the decision making process or not) because of the constant prayers and support you have provided me. Now that I am an adult, I can see the ripple effect of that time and devotion, and I am extremely thankful for that. "Why are Everest Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. Descriptive Essay About My Dad Have you ever had a hero in your life, someone that is always there for you when you need them? I did, I called him "my dad." My dad was the only person that could make me laugh when I was feeling down. My dad was that person who had so much love for his family. My dad was the person who I could call and he'd always pick up. My dad was the person who would drop everything just to help me. My dad was the biggest hero in my life and to this day, still is. My dad has always been my biggest motivator and the reason for growing up the way I did. We had a very tight relationship; I was definitely a "daddy's girl." I always wanted to be around him, he was someone I looked up to when I was younger. I always looked at him like he was so much more ...show more content... He was paying out of pocket for everything because the government kept on denying his request for disability and social security income. I remember always seeing him take fifteen pills at a time with every meal he would eat. My dad got diagnosed with prostate cancer in early 2014. It was a hard year for my family, and I still remember it like it was yesterday. Not even in my worst dreams did I ever see my dad having cancer. The man that I looked up to, and loved to pieces had cancer. I was devastated, I remember crying and being afraid that I was going to lose him to an incurable disease that lurked the lives of many. About a year after being diagnosed, his doctor told him that he was cancer free. He was so happy; his face was all smiles. I had never seen him so happy in his entire life. It was such a beautiful sight seeing my old mans face that lit up, he told everyone that he was cancer free. I was so proud of my father for being that strong, cancer couldn't even bring him down. Early 2016, my dad became very ill and it wasn't going away. He realized that going to the emergency room was his only option. My mom took him to the emergency room, and they transferred him to the Lovelace cancer center. They explained to him that he had stage 4 colon cancer and there was nothing more they could do. The doctor who told him the news told him that he would have 6 months to live after his colonoscopy had taken place. It had been more than 6 Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. My Dad Inspired Me Essay The family member that inspires me the most if my dad. My dad has been an amazing person for as long as I can remember. He has been successful ever since he came from Malaysia, he is very talented in many ways, he is hardworking, and almost never gives up. My dad has encouraged me to always do my best, always study hard, and to be the best person I can be. If my dad was not here, I think I would be a very different person than who I am today. My dad has also inspired me to one day become a great doctor like him. In this essay I will go more in depth and tell you how much of an inspirational person my dad is. My dad is a very hard working person. It is one of the of the qualities that has gotten him this far. First off, he came to America...show more content... My dad is an incredible tennis player, and he takes me to play tennis every now and then. He teaches me how to play correctly instead of using my master strategy of baseball hitting balls over the fence. Again, my dad is very good at the musical arts. He does karaoke and plays guitar often while recording it for people to enjoy. Crafty is an understatement for him. He can build anything with a hammer, nails, and wood. Ok, maybe not just those things, but he built our entire basement, fixed up our house, built parts of our bathroom, and more. This inspires me to either become a doctor, or an architect, and he inspires me to play tennis in high Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 9. My Family, My Dad Essay My immediate family is rather small, it consists of my Dad age 55, my Mom age 60 and myself age 21. All three of us are Caucasian. My Mom and Dad got married when they were much older, and they did not have me until they were 40 years of age. They are a little more traditional and they each take on their own roles in the family along with myself. My mother works Monday to Friday however she is the one who cooks the meals every evening, the one who cleans the house, does laundry and does the grocery shopping. My Dad works a longer day and makes the majority of our household income. He comes home and enjoys his evening watching the news and then sports. I go to school, work, and then I come home to a home cooked meal, and a clean house. The boundaries are fairly rigid in my household, my dad mostly stays away from the cooking, grocery shopping and cleaning as that is my mother's role in the house and as much as she can complain about it I do believe she would be lost without it. There are only two subsystems identified in my family, they would be husband–wife, and parent–child. External Structure The external structure falls into two subcategories which consists of the extended family and large systems. Extended Family My mothers extended family consists of her father Borden who died at the age of 70 from Alzheimer's. Her mother who still lives on her own in Halifax at the age of 92 with no major health concerns. She also has two sisters Beverly 65 who lives in Halifax and Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 10. Personal Narrative : My Mom And Dad Essay Researchers have always said that opposites attract. They couldn't have been more right in my parents' case. My mom and dad have many differences and few similarities, but they get along all the same. My mom is very timely, organized, quiet, and conservative; whereas, my father is the complete opposite of all of these traits. One similarity they have is that they both love to be active and outside. My mother and father go together like icing and cupcakes, but despite their compatible traits, like being sporty, they have very different personalities and views. Ever since I can remember my mom has always been in great shape. She loves to be outside and play sports. When I was five she started a summer volleyball league, and recently she started a winter league as well. She plays volleyball year round and it keeps her in great shape. My family has always been active, and it was always nice to have someone play outside with me. My mom is also a fitness junkie and loves to workout. She always drinks protein smoothies in the morning and runs on the treadmill after work. As a family we all enjoy to be outside and do yard work, and my mom loves to tend to the garden and pull weeds. My family has always enjoyed being outside rather than inside. Very similar to my mom, my dad loves to have fun outdoors too. He is very muscular and likes to workout. My dad is also on the same volleyball league as my mom, and they enjoy bonding while they get to play. They are a great duo on the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. My Mom And Dad Got A Divorce my mom and dad got a divorce when i was just in second grade. there is no doubt my life changed at that point but the changes that were to come due to the catalyzing effect of something as simple as divorce surpasses anything that my parents or i could have ever imagined at that time. obviously divorce means splitting time, splitting houses and sometimes changing schools. but for me the divorce was mainly an open door for new adults to come into the picture, on my dads side everything was simple and remained stagnant, he married to my current step mom who really had no adverse effects on my life and she has truly become a part of my life and I never had any difficulties coping with her. on my mothers side it was much more chaotic to say the least, about (2) years after the divorce she found a man named howard. We eventually moved in together in long grove and life was moving along pretty well. Howard seemed unemployed but he had called himself an entrepreneur and established his credibility when he made it big with his joystick company in the 1980s. After his company 's success in the 80s he spent the rest of his time trying to find a different venture chasing that grip on success that he once briefly had. My mom being active in the medical field gave howard inspiration to start up a company with her. The initial premise of the business was simple yet groundbreaking, his company called mHealth(neovision) provided a medical service utilizing Cisco video chat for Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 12. Working Mom vs Stay at Home Mom Topic: My Career Goal as a Home Maker/Stay at Home Mom Question: Can being a Home Maker be viewed as a career? Central Idea: A home maker plays a vital role in the family setting and in society. There are Choices to be made when you become a Parent. Just like almost all newly married couples. You have goals of what's next in your lives together. Finish college and then get that perfect well paying job. Well that is exactly what I had in mind. Wow, what would happen next would be life changing. We added a little baby boy to our family. I remember telling my boss, "I promise I'm not going to quit my job". The day I gave birth and I saw that precious baby; I knew I could not leave him to go back to work. How could we make...show more content... One of my most enjoyable roles that I have in this phase of my stay at home career is my farm. I have started a business, I work on the farm while my kids are at school and during the summer, I am able to work directly with my children and husband in our cattle and hay operation. This for me would not be possible if I had an outside job. Now that my children are older 19 and 15 it is rewarding to see the work ethics that have been instilled in them. Many stay at home moms launch at home business. Even though they may work within the home they are still flexible to take care of family needs as they arise. Plus it builds the stay at home mom self esteem. In conclusion, the choice is up to the individual person. It may be right for some and not for others. I do feel that a stay at home mom can be considered a career. I may not receive payment for the jobs that I do but the greatest payment or blessing in this case is the investment that I have made to my children and the respect that I have from my husband and two boys for the choice that was Get more content on HelpWriting.net

On the other hand my dad who was also a senior in high school did. They got married and eventually had my sister but the marriage failed after three years. My mom wasn't stable. Shortly after the divorce my mom remarried then had my half brother and sister. I went to five different schools by the time I was in sixth grade. Being a migrant family brought a lot of hardships on my mom and the four kids she had by the time she was twenty–four. Moving while always living with other people was drastic. In sixth grade my mom and step–dad at the time got a divorce. We moved to another town where my mom decided to hang out with the wrong crowd. There was twelve people living in a two bedroom house. Thats when the state removed us from that situation. During all the moving I learned to cope: to new surroundings, new people, and new situations everyday. Nevertheless I moved again. This time it was for the better. At least that's what I thought. The summer after seventh grade I was diagnosed with type one diabetes. Another challenge I had to learn to cope with. All of my past expierences have taught me valuables lessons which have helped me become the person I am today. It was hard in school to keep up with grades while also trying to support my brother, sisters, and the other residents children as well. I was the oldest. I would walk all of us Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 14. Essay on A Letter Form Mom and Dad Prompt: Imagine you are Aunt Pegg. After one week of looking after the children, you write a letter to their parents in which you: * Give your impressions of the children. * Give an account of your progress with them so far. * Tell your plans for the next week. ––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– Write your letter. Base it on what you have read in Passage A. October 6, 2011 Dear Dad/Mom of the kids I've been looking after you children for a week so today I write this letter just to let you know how we've been doing, and tell you the plans that we will do for the next week. From the very first time that you asked me to take care of the kids while you go on business, I'm extremely excited because...show more content... In order to put them into militaristic manner, I use whistle to make orders: breakfast, lunch, dinner, or just to call them. We have sugarless oat cereal for breakfast, the kind of breakfast that we always hoped for when we were kids. They don't eat it. They hate it. I don't let them dump the whole meal to the trash–can, they must not waste food like that, they are given extra chores to do if they keep whining without eating! On the second day, they seemed to miss you a lot. They don't talk much anymore, they walk slowly, spiritless like little zombies. They behave better, they don't insult each other, they're quiet while doing their tasks, and I'm really pleased because of that. They're uncommunicative as though they're in jail. They got better anyways, but I'm not satisfied yet, they still need lots more training to do. On the third day of the progress, we did some educational lectures. I taught them how to solve some arithmetic sums and add a little speed into it, I showed them the way that our dad taught us when we were in sixth grade, I still remember it as it was yesterday. I gave them 'Reading Improvement' plus 'Practical Farmwork', which is the weeds identification and eradication. They didn't focus so I had to pull out a criteria, they can go inside the house once they can tell me the name of the weeds. They're slow. This is the thing that surprised me the most, they were about to run away from me, but Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 15. My Dad Essay The man above all the rest, because of his influence on my life, is my dad. He is so special to me that it's hard to put it in words. My dad is the one who had me knowing in my heart by 7th grade, maybe even sooner, that I wanted to teach someday and that I wanted to coach. My dad was a 5th and 6th grade teacher for 23 years. During these years he coached track, softball, volleyball, and my favorite sport, basketball. I think I probably had a basketball in my hands when I was born! My sisters and I used to travel to games with him on the bus with their crazy bus driver, Mr. Krueger. The team membersalways welcomed us, and we had a blast. My dad used to say as Mr. Krueger wildly whipped around another corner, "don't you tell...show more content... I have so many vivid memories of my dad in front of a classroom captivating his "audience". I remember during a science lesson on the parts of the body he had middle school students playing "The knee bone's connected to the...". He had the respect of his students and, in return, they worked hard for him. He had the ability and opportunity to influence each and every one of their lives. I hope I will someday have a similar influence on my students. I have many special memories of helping my dad with bulletin boards (not always willingly!), correcting papers (which I did enjoy!), reading stories for contests, and just observing him. My dad's a principal now of an elementary school, but he is probably one of the most visible, active principals I've ever known. My dad plays his guitar and sings during school assemblies. How many principals do that? The kids, teachers, and parents all get a kick out of that. Since he was a teacher for so many years, the teachers feel more like he is "one of them", not an egotistical administrator that feels he is so much better than everyone else. He really loves and cares about the kids. He's so proud of the students in his school, always cutting their pictures out of the paper and having kids be "principal for the day". Many people have influenced me to become a teacher through their example and their sincere concern for me. Some great people listened to me and are now my Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 16. Personal Narrative: My Dad And Mom 2.The person in the book with whom I identify the most is Philip. My life is not like Philip's after 9/11 and Wisconsin, but before that time, we have a lot in common. Philip and I live on the east coast. Philip lived in Princeton; whereas, I live in Delaware. My Dad and Mom both graduated from elite colleges. Dad graduated from IIT, Indian Institute of Technology, the best engineering school in India. My Mom graduated from Miranda University, one of the top women's colleges in India. Joel and Amanda, Philip's parents, both graduated from Harvard. After I was born, Mom quit her job and became a house mom. She drives me and takes care of me whenever I needed help. This was also true with Amanda as she "... quit her job and poured all her energy Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 17. My Parents Compare And Contrast Essay A few of the characters find out that they are alike their parents by many ways. Me and my mom share a connection just like that. We look alike, we act the same and everyone seems to know this. At times it is a great connection, others it is not good at all. It plays a big role in our relationship. A big effect it makes is in arguments. My mom tells me and my sisters about how she acted when she was younger. She tells me about how responsible she was, when she was younger. The one thing that she never tells us is that she is sensitive, and very dramatic. I know that I am dramatic, because one year for valentine's day I got a heart of candy saying drama queen. My older sister points out that when me and my mom stub our toes we both fall to the ground and say "owwwwwww" and as my sisters says we make it way bigger deal than we should have. Another reason is that we cry at any item that is sad like movies, books, stories. Even when a part is somewhat sad we cry. We are dramatic and sensitive but it can be good ,because then she can understand when I am upset or sad. It also works the other way around....show more content... When people treat me disrespectfully, I get mad and I want to tell them otherwise, but I have learned to keep my temper and be nice to them. Uncle Hammer reminds me of my dad. My dad has the hot temper in our family. That is where I get my temper. All of my family members get angry when people accuse us of doing what we did not do. • 18. Personal Narrative: My Mom, Step-Dad Have your parents, or anybody you knew surprised you with something you didn't expect? That's what happened to me when I lived at my old house before I moved to DeSoto. I lived about twenty, or thirty minutes away from Jefferson City. In a little town called Russellville. I lived with my Mom, Step–Dad, and my older brother, Caleb, and my little sister, Bethany. This is the story of how I got a dog. First, unlike now I rode the school bus to, and from school. Around this time I was in about third or fourth grade, because I moved here in fifth grade.I was probably about ten years old. Me and my siblings got off the bus. When we got off our bus driver said, "Have a good day." We responded with, "You too." Now, we went into the house, and how Get more content on HelpWriting.net
