Qualifications, Specialised Training and Experience
Sales Asisstant/Cabin Erecter 02/15-05/15 – For Deeside Log Cabins, where I Spent the 3/4
months building the cabins and learning about the product physically before continuing within the
Sales aspect of the job.
Construction Site Manager 06/13-01/15 – For Space Solutions in Aberdeen where I was
responsible for looking after office refurbs and construction fit outs. General duties include:
• Coordinating sub-contractors and material on sites including site establishment and welfare.
• Looking after Health and safety, preparing and updating the construction phase plan.
• Presenting regular progress meetings
• Preparing and completing small construction programmes.
• Keeping records such as Site diaries and permits to work.
Self-Catering Manager/ Estate worker 04/12-05/13 - I worked on an estate in the Isle of Harris
where I was the self-catering manager for the new Holiday houses built into the landscape. I carried
out general estate work including maintenance of the properties as well as catering and supervision
of all guests. This was primarily client relations and customer care.
Mink Control Assistant 06/10-04/12 – Part of a team that by using traps were tasked to attempt to
erradicate the non-native Mink Population off the Islands. (This was however on a contract basis
and was short lived).
Royal Marine Commandos 05/05-05/10 - After basic training was completed, I was sent to Fleet
Protection Group Royal Marines.
• Main objectives were for the security and quick reaction force for submarines, frigates and
buildings.
• Trained in helping the fire service in possible nuclear accidents.
• During my career in the Royal Marines I joined the Enhanced Counter Piracy troop, where
we were trained up to a very high level on close quarter battle and take-downs of pirate
mother ships before deploying out in the Gulf of Aden and off the coast of Somalia, where
piracy is at its worst.
