Employment History
Halliburton - June 2011 – Present
Position – Cementing Supervisor III - Norway
My current position involves organising, conducting and supervising all aspects of cementing operations,
logistically and in timing with other rig operations onboard the Maersk Gallant. During my time in Norway I
have done quite a lot of overtime onboard other rigs due to my experience with various types of equipment and
enjoy being frequently challenged. A substantial part of my role involves spending time with trainees, providing
on the job training in all areas including complex cementing calculations, running tools, mixing and pumping
cement, general maintenance and repair of the cement unit. I feel confident in my role as Service supervisor III,
delegating tasks and making sure that the work is carried out diligently and in keeping with Halliburton’s safety
standards. During my time in Norway I have worked on numerous different rigs on various campaigns, 2 of
which have been HPHT wells as a lead supervisor. I am competent on anything from remote cement units to
fully manual units, CMS, P.A.B, LAS, and running downhole tools.
Throughout my time as a supervisor it has taught me to organise and prioritise my workload to suit deadlines,
making preparation a key element within my work. The majority of being a Cementer involves preparing
equipment for cementing operations, carrying out cement volume calculations to enable me to order chemicals
and equipment to suit well conditions and parameters. In addition a considerable part of my job includes the
assembling and running of downhole tools including RTTS packers, EZSV’s, Bridge plugs and CST’s. On
completion of any cement job or downhole tool run, it is also my responsibility to ensure that all necessary
paper work and reports are completed effectively, ensuring that all effected departments are continually
informed.
Halliburton - January 2007 – June 2011
Position – Cementing Supervisor II - United Kingdom
I worked offshore in the UK with Halliburton for almost 5 years, working on numerous different rigs, gaining
vital experience. For most of my time in the UK I was onboard the BP Magnus, I was chosen for this particular
project due to my mechanical background and the complexity of the cement unit and auxiliary equipment,
which was a very old fully manual, therefor more challenging.
Position – Trainee Cementer
I worked as a Trainee Cementer initially and thoroughly enjoyed working through my cementing grades,
allowing me to achieve certification mile stones well in advance of target dates. This was formerly recognised
by my training co-ordinator, motivating me to accomplish a position as a Cementing Supervisor and take great
pride in my job.
Halliburton – June 06 – January 07
Position - CRI Operator
Working as a CRI operator involved processing and reinjecting drilling cuttings, adding chemicals according to
client’s specifications. I enjoyed my role there and learned a lot, however there was no opportunity to progress.
Bryant Engineering – March 2006 – June 2006
I was involved in a number of temporary positions for Bryant Engineering in order to obtain some offshore
working experience.
Vauxhall – July 03 – March 06
Position - Mechanic
I worked as a Mechanic for Vauxhall for 3 years where my role was to diagnostically check vehicles for faults
and repair them. Due to the time I spent at Vauxhall I became very mechanically minded and have always had a
passion for practical work.
