An obsessed boyfriend thinks he killed the girl he loves.
The film is about a teenager who thinks he might have killed the girl he loves.
The main character falls madly in love with the girl of his dreams, they first
met when they bumped into each other in the park. The teenagers then
decide to spend more time together and their relationship becomes more
serious. They go on dates to get coffee and take trips to art museums. The
boyfriend’s obsession with his girlfriend takes over because he is adamant
that another boy will take her away from him. He accuses her of cheating so
he stalks her and their relationship spirals out of control ending with a physical
altercation.

stalk his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend. His ex-girlfriend wants nothing to
do with him but she is convinced that he is sorry because of his apology over

warnings to stay away. The narrative moves over to the climactic chase scene
and showdown between the ex-boyfriend and the ex-girlfriend which is most
likely going to take place in a forest – a place where thrillers are often set
therefore conforming to codes and conventions of the genre.
The film genre is a psychological-thriller so the psychological elements will be
created through the editing e.g. montages, flashbacks and voiceovers of the
characters feelings and emotions towards his girlfriend. The main character is
not necessarily the good guy because it is we learn about his aggressive and
controlling nature which are attributes that the stereotypical antagonist
presented in thriller films possess.

Soundtrack:
I believe that a dark tone is essential for a successful thriller movie, therefore i
believe using soundtracks similar to movies such as silence of the lambs, donnie
darko etc. However, I believe it will be more enticing for the viewer if they had a
modern twist to it due to the movies modern settings. By this i mean incorporating
elements such as 808s, high hats basically songs like kanye west black skinhead

which has a dark feel yet still very rhythmic. All soundtracks for this movie can me
made first hand for this movie by my personal producer.
Effect:
This movie is based around the unstable mindstate of a young man from london, a
voiceover would be ideal and an effective way to get into his mind without trying too
hard.
Music:
The music chosen for this movie also has a dark bleak tone for it I’d say these songs
would work well;
Rationale – Why you chose this idea; why will it make a good project? List the
skills that you have and the techniques that you have or plan to develop and can
therefore use.
We have chose this idea because we enjoy the complexity and the level of detail
that we are able to explore and implement. There are skills that we have gained that
will assist us in the production of this project. Skills such as cutting and pasting
certain scenes from the imported file to the desired spot.
Another skill that would be very useful is inserting soundtrack or sound effects into
places that would highlight the mood.
Making sound effects and soundtrack is also a skill that we have learnt that could
perhaps increase the uniqueness of the product.
Primary and Secondary Research – Specific research that backs up your idea
will lead to a more professional screenplay.
We researched appropriate sound effects and soundtracks that would fit well. One
soundtrack that we conformed to is the bath scene from ‘Psycho’ and the first visit
to the prison scene in ‘Silence of the Lamb’.
Requirements & Resources – List your cast and crew. List all the technical
equipment you will use. Outline some locations that you have considered and why
they would be suitable alongside any issues with access or permissions

I have decided to use the males on our group plus one other male actor in addition
3 female actors. Jefferson, Francis, Benjamin, Devante, Divine and 3 other girls. we
feel, by having a lot of actors, this will add to the realism of the clip. however they
will not all have lead roles in the teaser. we will be using stratford city, a house,
woods, streets in the dark. This will be suitable for the genre of the film as the
locations must portray the mood and the motive of the main character. we wanted
an urban yet awkward location. The equipment we will be using will be; a camera -
to film all the scenes and shots, street lamps - for the lighting in the dark for the
darker scenes, the softwares will be imovie, final cut pro and magix - this is all the
softwares will we be using to edit all the scenes and we will be using the best
features of all to make our teaser the best. a mobile phone - for effect of the quality
of the clip, to make the scene more realistic. A potential issue that could occur
could be one of the softwares not being able to function, although it won’t affect the
process as much due to the alternatives. the settings may be too dark with not
enough light and as a result won't be able to see the actors or the location well
enough. Another issue could be the location maybe too busy or not quite enough to
act in.
Constraints and Contingency – What problems you may encounter and how
they will be overcome. Feasibility.
What problems we may encounter:
● People may not bring available to shoot specific scenes
● We may not get access or permission to some chosen settings
● We may run out of time for shooting specific scenes that needs specific
lighting (day light )
● We may want to include an Enigma but the audience may not be able to
answer or understand it
● Our camera might run out of battery
How will we overcome it:
● We will have schedule for people and timetables that allow them to have the
time.
● We will also make sure that we get the correct consent forms from people.
● We will meet at specific times that will enable us to start and finish.
● We will also check the BBC weather information for time of sunset for
shooting days.

● We will put the enigma answer at the end to allow them to feel satisfied as
they have “solved the problem”
● We will pack extra batteries that are fully charged.
Legal and Ethical Considerations – Linking to the above show that you have
considered legal and ethical issues such as copyright
For the production of our psychological thriller trailer we aim to use legal and ethical
practises. However, he do acknowledge that we may potentially encounter some
issues such as copyright issues over the use of soundtracks that are available online
on digital platforms such as Youtube and Soundcloud. In order to stay within the
legal boundaries we would have to ask for permission in advance even though this
may be time consuming. Alternatively, as a group we could be able to create our
own sound effects that we could implement into our work by using music editing
and producing software that is available on the internet.
Similarly, to be more ethical we would have to ask for the consent of the production
team and the starring actors or actresses so that they are aware that the media
product will be available on multiple digital platforms on the internet. As a team, we
might have to record videos of the individuals involved in the production process
giving their consent for their names to be used in the text. Consequently, if
individuals do not consent to filming then we would not be able to use the footage
recorded but we plan on gaining consent first before filming so that we do not
encounter problems like this in the future.
In addition to this, some legal restrictions might be placed on the locations that we
have decided to film therefore to overcome this issue we would have to seek filming
permission from the owner of the venues (if they are used in our scenes).
Budget – A list that breaks down your costs (include a total.)
no costs to pay
Proposed Schedule – A time frame for this project, which ensures that you can
complete it by the deadline set for the unit.
We will be completing our project within the duration of 6 weeks. we have
structured the time table where we will complete the research and planning, the
production and the evaluation.
