Production plan
1. Production Plan
Equipment
Type What I am using Why I have chosen this
Equipment 200d DSLR camera This is the best camera I
have access to
Equipment DJI Osmo gimbal camera For moving shots that I want
to keep stable
Equipment Hama Star 42 Tripod/Joby To keep the camera stable if
I want a locked off shot
Equipment Rode Videomicro microphone To record audio
Equipment SanDisk SD Card These cards are reliable and
I will need enough storage
to record footage
Equipment Lights / fluorescent light bar To light the scene if I want
more than the initial
ambient light
Equipment Computer To edit and organise my
footage
Equipment Sennheiser headphones To listen to the audio when
editing / shooting
Equipment Pole / Stand for microphone To hold the microphone If I
need it somewhere not on
the camera
Software Microsoft Office For writing documents like
production plans and
permission slips etc.
Software Adobe Premiere pro To edit my film with
Software Adobe Photoshop To produce any graphic
imagery I need or marketing
etc.
Software Adobe after effects If I need to make any VFX
Software Adobe audition To edit sound or if I want to
apply a certain effect to it
Assets Special effects In case I need to edit
together an effect I cannot
produce realistically
Assets Desired songs for soundtrack The music that my film will
be edited with, it’s
important I have the right
song as that is what will
determine the tone.
2. Cast and Crew
3. The main character – played by Oisin Kelleher
What Who owns it Legal impact Any impact of use
Your filmed footage Me Footage will be
copyrighted so others
need to ask permission to
use it in the future`
Make sure actors have
given permission and
under 18 actors have
permission slips and
check with parents.
I have chosen Oisin because I feel he can portray this character
I have envisioned well. Oisin’s character has slightly anarchical
and psychotic traits which make him a quirky and spontaneous
character. Oisin played an anarchical and unorthodox character
in Harvey Graham’s film ‘The Journey’ so I can see that is he an
outgoing enough actor to be able to play this kind of role. He is
tall and has the right build that I think will work for this
character. Oisin also attends Forest Forge, a youth acting group
which means he has regular experience.
Shop Staff – Played by Harvey G
This character, a member of staff in a small newsagents
/convenience shop that the character Oisin visits. I feel he can
portray the character well, a young and unhappy teenager with
his job working late nights in the small newsagents. I like that he
has black hair and with the right clothing his character will blend
into the bleak background setting of the shop. Harvey too
attends the Forest Forge drama group. He also has an interest in
media, film and photography.
Harvey may also assist with the lighting and/or other aspects.
I may employ the assistance of a friend for light/audio etc.
Budget:
My film does not have a set budget but it is important to factor in the things that may cost:
- Fuel money for getting to the locations and back.
- Any props in the shop that I use
- Food and drink for actors
- Potential costumes (shop shirt etc.)
Legal and Ethical
3. Ethical Considerations
Launch Date:
I have chosen around late February (potentially 23rd) to release my film as the editing
process would’ve been completed and it allows plenty of time to make sure the filmis
finished. There are no seasonal events that meet with this date.
Contingency Plans
Gear failing – I will bring a backup camera, batteries and SD cards.
If actors don’t make it on the day – Ask backup actors; Henry A and Ben L
If main location (co-op) doesn’t work – I will use my local newsagents which is
smaller but still suitable
Title sequences, logos
etc.
If I made it myself I own
it.
If I got it from somewhere
make sure if it has any

Work Plan
Pre-production material reflection:
Following the pitch and my pre-production materials its brought up some things to
consider:
- Make sure there is a flowing story and the story is going somewhere that has a
conclusion
- Could explore the split personality aspect of the character more
- I may think of other aspects that I can explore to enhance the surreal tone.
