The Cee-Jays were popular in the South part of London in the late 1960s
Band members: John Murphy – lead guitar / vocals
Colin Attridge – rhythm guitar / 2nd vocals
Lez Attridge - bass guitar
Bert Simmonds - drums
Only two members of the band are back together; Colin (Cee-) and John (-Jay)
The genre they associate themselves with is easy - listening
The band had been apart for fifty years before Colin and John reunited

1. How did the band first meet?
2. How did you come up with the name The Cee-Jays?
3. And what inspired you personally, to take up a career in singing?
4. But I guess, since you’ve only recently started singing again that the band split up,
due to you the band being so silent for so long, of course?
5. Tell me then, whilst the band was dormant, did you ever progress to any solo work?
6. After so long, why did the Cee-Jays decide to regroup?
7. And in your opinion, what did it feel like with the band being back together and all?
8. As you said you’ve got Coin in My Cup out, but can we expect to hear of you in the
future?
