2. LinkinPark – New DivideMy favourite song is New Divide by Linkin Park. This song appears in the new film by Michael Bay, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. I like this song because this type of music is my favourite: alternative rock. I love Linkin Park. The vocalist, Chester Bennington, sings really well and the musicians are very good. 4. THE BEATLES: “I wanttoholdyourhand” They’ve been the most important pop group in History. In fact, you can say that they created Pop music. They all were British: John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. At present, only Paul and Ringo are alive. Their songs, which they began to record from 1.961, had an extraordinary popularity. At first, they were influenced by American Rock and Roll, but then they composed and sang their own music. The sound of this music was special, new and fresh. Young people loved it. So, they revolutionized everything: the musical world, fashion and the way of life in general. Everybody wanted to look like The Beatles. They had many “hits”. One of them was “I want to hold your hand” ( their first number one in the U.S.A.), which my father loves and I like too. 5. THE VERONICAS: “THE LOST TRACKS” I love listening to this kind of music because I like pop music very much, but this is POP ROCK. The Verónicas are well, but there are some songs which aren’t very good. My favourite song is “Untouched” because it is very lively. This Group started in 2005. They are Australian, and the group is composed by: Jessica and Lissa, who are the vocalists, but one plays the guitar. George plays the guitar too, Mike plays the bass guitar and Vik Foxx is the drummer.Ziortza, 2ºA

7. “I gotta feeling”by Black Eyed Peas This group is from the USA. They have got three Grammys and they have sold twenty seven million CDs and twenty two million singles. Their best songs are: Where is the love?, Shut up, Hey mama, Don't lie, Let's get it started, Don't phunk with my heart, My humps, Pump it, Boom boompow and I gotta feeling. At first William and apl.de.api created the group in 1995, and then Fergie and Taboo arrived at it. In 2005 they separated and the girl did a new CD alone (“Big girls don’t cry”); it was very famous too but in 2006 the group joined again. I love listening to Black eyed peas because I like this kind of music; and their music is fantastic! The first vocalist is very good, she sings excellently and her name is Fergie. She’s my favourite singer of the group. My favourite song is “I gotta feeling” because it’s really funny and lively; it speaks about a night in a party. It’s new, from this year, and already has sold a lot of CDs. I think that Black eyed peas should do a song in Spanish, I’m sure that people will buy it! The lyrics say that they have a feeling, that the night is going to be very good! The vocalist sings very well and they play the instruments brilliantly. 8. LUCKY by Jason Mraz This song is sung by Jason Mraz, featuring with ColbieCalliat, from Jason Mraz´s album `We sing we dance, we steal things´´. I like this song because I think that it´s the best song I´ve ever heard. I love its rhythm, because it´s relaxing and catchy at the same time, and every time I listen to it I feel like dancing. But lyrics are what I like best in this song. I didn´t need to look for them in any website or look up new words in a dictionary, because they are very easy to understand. Lyrics are about a conversation between two lovers that are planning how and where to meet again. They always say that they are very lucky to have each other. Finally, they meet on the island where the girlfriend is and her boyfriend gets there after sailing across the sea. When they meet, they don´t mind about anything but their love. I think that it´s a beautiful love story, and it has a happy end. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do when you listen to it.Irene Barrenechea 2ºB

The members of the band are: Rob Bourdo, who plays the drums, Mike Shinoda, who plays the guitar, Chester Benninton, who is the vocalist but also plays the bass guitar and Brad Delson, who plays the keyboards. They have a new album called “Meteora”. From that album is the song that I really like “Numb”.MY OPINION: I like Linkin Park because I like this style of music. The band is composed by a guitarist, a bass guitarist, a drummer and the vocalist. First, the band was called Pezz, but they changed the name to Billy Talent. They have got three albums by the name of Billy Talent. My favourite album is the new one, and my favourite song in it is “Tears Into Wine”. Today they perform in international events and they are very popular. This CD,”A lascinco en el Astoria”, is the first of Leire Martinez, because before the singer was Amaya Montero. My favorite song is Jueves; this is the third song of the CD. The CD includes more songs like El ultimo vals, Inmortal, Europa VII...Jueves is a very tragic song but very beautiful, because the song talks about the terrorist attack which happened in Madrid on March 11, 2004. It’s a great song ; I like it because I like rock music. This is a band from the U.S.A. They have been playing rock music for twenty years, more or less. The song is included in Rihanna’s album “Good Girl Gone Bad” and in Bisbal’s album that is called “Premonición”.Rihanna is a very famous singer. She’s from the Barbados Islands. She’s 21 years old and she’s got four albums: “Music of the Sun” (2005), “A Girl like me” (2006), “Good Girl Gone Bad” (2007), “Rated R” (2008). David Bisbal is 30 years old. He is very famous in Spain, in South America and in the U.S.A. too. He started singing professionally when he was accepted in OT (a TV reality-show like “American Idol”). Finally he was the second, but after that a lot of production companies wanted him. He has done a lot o CD-s like “Corazónlatino” (2002), “Bulería” (2004), “Premonición” (2006) and “Sin miraratrás” (2009).
