Appendicular : Limbs and girdles
Axial: Skull , Vertebral Column and Thorax
Skeleton as a system , Morphology of Bones
Skeleton as tissue (origin and ossification)
Function of Skull (type of bone, development)

Abnormalities: Macrocephaly, microcephaly, hydrocephaly

It consists of 22 flat bones
Generally consists two parts : Neurocranium / Face or
Viscerocranium
Neurocranium consists 8 bones ( two pairs , four lateral
single bones)
Viscerocranium consists 14 (13 immovable one
movable/ 6 pairs and two single bones)
Neurocranium: Frontal/ Sphenoid/Ethmoid/ occipital /
Temporals/ Pariertals
Viscerocranium : Nasals/ Zygomatics/ Lacrimals/
Maxillaries / Inf Concha Nasalis/ Palatines/ Mandible
and vomer
