Project title: Cholera and Typhoid vaccine response
The aim of this project is to look for SNP’s in the genes
involved in the innate immune response to infectious
diseases. Innate immunity relies on the ability of the cells
of immune system to recognize microbial products that
distinguish the classes of pathogen through pattern
recognition receptors. The recognition of microbial
products by innate immune genes alters the immune system
to the presence of pathogens so that an immediate immune
response can be mounted to contain the infection and in the
activation and co ordination of the adaptive immune
response. Genetic variations within these genes have shown
to alter their function. Polymorphisms within these genes
will provide important lessons for drug design and disease
cure.

operation and troubleshooting, fragment analysis, Snap
shot.
