a very universal and adaptable TEV family:

TE 5-55 Thermostatic
Expansion Valve
The TE TEV will control and maintain
the required amount of refrigerant
injected into the Evaporator.
Doing this by keeping the Superheat
Constant where the sensor is
mounted on the suction line
(In a constant load scenario)

Function of the TE 5  55
The TEV will try to keep a constant superheat at a
constant load situation
If there is a change in load the TEV will open more at
increasing load and open less at decreasing load,
and again try to keep a constant superheat
The opening degree is decided by a balance
between the opening force and the closing forces
• Pressure in the Power element is the opening force
• Pressure from the refrigerant is a closing force
• Pressure from the spring is the other closing force
