Present in port operations in all aspects from the beginning in the take over process of a privatized port in
Mersin.Managed the change process of port take over from the shipping lines and customers perspective.
Developed and Managed all relationships with port’s various customer categories such as shipping lines & agents,
customs brokers, importers & exporters, subcontractors, chambers & associations. Traveled regularly within
port’s hinterland covering Gaziantep, Kahramanmaraş, Konya, Kayseri, Karaman, Adana and Ankara, including
countries at the cross-border such as Iraq, Iran and Syria. Doubled the port’s transit throughput volume with Iraq.
Developed & implemented sales & marketing strategies for Container, Break bulk, Dry Bulk, Liquid Bulk,
Project Cargo, Pure Car Carriers, Ro-Ro cargo & Passengers.
Port’s throughput doubled within 5 years. Revised the port tariff by creating new value added services and
operational procedures. Produced competition analysis for East-Med Ports with yearly update. Designed the port’s
website from A to Z. Negotiated container CFS contracts and breakbulk discount scales with exporteers and
importers. Implemented Berthing Window facilities for shipping lines. Attracted new volumes and ships in
transshipment and cabotage regimes. Established the Sales and Marketing Department by hiring, continuously
training, coaching and motivating team members. Monitored the stevedorage quality and the waiting time at
anchorage of the ships. Generated monthly reports including Crane, ship productivity, terminal operating system.
 International Trading
-In the UAE, acquired the distributorshp of FMCG & Industrial brands from Turkey, Belgium and USA.
-In Turkey, developed new markets in the Middle East for grains, pulses and consumer goods.

- Monitored the sailing status of 2 breakbulk ships simultaneously and drafted chartering contracts.
 Container Shipping Line Agent
-Handled communication with CMA CGM head office in France and North African offices. Actively
communicating by email and telephone with customers and freight forwarders to provide them with vessel
availability along with freight and local costs quotations, to cater for their imports and exports needs.
Achieved highest performance in CMA CGM’s North Africa-Mediterranean container service.

-Established a Cypriot university’s representation office in UAE and admitted hundreds of new students to
Cyprus from UAE and the Gulf region.
 Banking & Financial Institutions .
-As Head of Correspondent Banking in Istanbul, negotiated face to face correspondent banking agreements with
European Banks in France, Belgium, Switzerland, Spain, Germany, Holland & England.
-As the credit cards Department’s Sales and Marketing Manager of a well reputed bank in Turkey, introduced in
Turkey for the first time the instalment system and discount offers at points of sale. Increased the new card
customer acquisiton volume by at least 500% .
-As the Head of Sales Department of an Investment Bank in Bahrain and the Gulf Region, negotiated syndicated
loans for investors in oil & gas, commodity trading. Generated Due Diligence reports, risk assessments and
carried out balance sheets Analysis .
-Respectively as the Sales & Marketing Executive and Manager at American Express and MasterCard, generated
customer acquisition & retention programs. In charge of Abudhabi market, further of GCC market, Achieved
highest sales in the Gulf region. Planned and implemented a Road Show to major banks in the Gulf such as Qatar,
Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman and Kuwait .
