/Marketing or Customer Services. I am used to working with different and simultaneous commercial
projects while managing sales, marketing, business development and operational and administrative
areas.
The best asset I can offer you is my in-depth knowledge and understanding of the commercial and
regulatory environments in Brazil. I am a self-motivated and hardworking professional who believes
that a successful sales person should be creative and enthusiastic. I have a solid sales, marketing &
customer services background, handling negotiations with travel agents and with key corporate
accounts. Working under pressure to solve objections and to find solutions has always been part of my
routine.
I am a well-known professional in the tourism industry in Brazil and I have a great deal of credibility
amongst top executives from major travel agents and international airlines, as well as from cruise
companies.
My background is strongly in the Aviation / Cruise Industry, where I gathered extensive experiences
in airlines and cruise companies from different nationalities, sizes and cultures. I spent 15 years at
British Airways from 1988 until 2003, taking on several roles from Reservation and Ticketing to Sales
and Distribution Manager South America. I worked in Rio de Janeiro Market for more than 10 years
before British Airways moved its HQ to Sao Paulo. In 2002 I received the award at British Airways'
“Personality of the Year for Latin America ", awarded for my positive attitudes and innovative ideas
that directly influenced the results of the company's sales. I moved to South African Airways to be
Sales & Marketing Manager Brazil for 3 years before joining the start-up team of Emirates Airlines
in January 2006 where I spent 6 years as Business Development/ Sales & Marketing Manager,
collecting several awards of best sales team in the network in 2008/2009. In 2013 I was invited for
another startup project TotalStay /Hotel Pronto where I stayed for 9 months before they decided to
merge with Jac Travel in Brazil. The experience was unique as I learned in these 9 months all about
XML/White label technology. I was invited by Rene Hermann, Head of Costa Crociere (cruise segment),
to head Sales and Marketing department where I am currently working at the moment. My experience
in the airline and hospitality business has helped Costa Crociere enhance their sales performance by
packaging with better fares from the airline business and hotel products on pre and post cruise.
Star Alliance opened a position in Brazil to deal with Corporate and Product development and I was
headhunted by the top executives of the airlines to take on this new challenge. I currently develop
synergy and all global corporate accounts of their main top companies.
