I Solved a great Variety of Management issues and
increased the Centre’s profitability in the short time I was in
charge. The HMC is a highly prestigious medical center with
a medical and Para medical staff of 67. As the top man I
was in charge of the Finance/Accounting, Stock
Management, and Personnel Management Departments.
Also I was involved in the Public Relations and Marketing
functions in promoting HMC. Furthermore in the Building
Maintenance as also the Stock Management of our drugs

In this dual role, I analysed and audited the accounts
and financial information of local companies for the
opportunity to enter loans from German and American
Banks. I Visited companies all over Cyprus. I submitted
review, analysis and recommendations concerning the
companies and their activities. I completed on behalf the
loan applications. Submitted a business plan to our client
banks in the USA, Germany and Switzerland for final
approval. I managed a large staff of local and foreign
employees and received special training in Glyfada-Athens
on foreign exchange and portfolio management topics by
our affiliate company, Hedley Finance of the UK.

10/1995 – 05/1996 the International Merchandising Centre - (IMC)

Sales and Marketing Manager
The IMC was an ambitious Cyprus government and private
sector project to create an International Merchandising
Centre so as to take advantage of Cyprus strategic location
in attempting to attract visitors and exhibitors together and
therefore increase business tourism.
Today the building is housing the Cyprus Stock Exchange.
I was involved in Intensive Marketing, Sales and other
promotional activities. I had frequent interaction with foreign
embassy personnel and business people as also travelled
overseas for business negotiations and marketing activities
in order to attract participation. (IMC Closed operations
and the staff were laid off 5/1996).

Express ‘Quality Circles’ Troubleshooting Task Force
Team… (Company size of 150 employees)
I had direct contact with top management, contacted the
internal auditing of department accounts from our general
operations while I also often headed the team on Travellers
Cheques sales and Worldwide refunds. I was assigned the
special handling and VIP customer contact of claims over
$10,000 for refunds and due to my strong analytical
nature I was also assigned to analyse card and T/Cheque
fraud issues. I performed checks and controls and
audited internal departments furnishing top management
and departmental level Directors with an in depth analysis,
appraisals, recommendations, counselling and information
concerning the activities reviewed. I prepared reports of
financial and managerial nature. Specifically, I received
extensive Management training at Membership Services,
Fraud Control, Operations, Sales, Finance and Treasury,
and Telesales. I liased closely with senior management
from all the departments as a Quality Circles member for
troubleshooting and to ensure quality controls meet set
standards of ‘American Express Blue Box values’.
I received numerous compliment letters and praises from
senior management and customers. I had daily contact
with local and International Banks on fraud control issues,
Sales and Customer Service as also with all worldwide
American Express offices, finance and courier companies.
