After the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) decided to lift its ban on women driving in
June 2018, Careem have started hiring and training women drivers a reports CNN.
Careem plans to hire more than 10,000 “female captains” (drivers) by June 2018.
Careem is planning to have a female workforce of 20,000 by the year 2020.In Saudi
Arabia, Careem have started recruiting women, as part of the Saudi Women to
drive movement. Women are going to start driving on 24 June 2018, and Careem
women drivers can start working on the same day.

• 22 years old Careem captain murdered during robbery
• Captain Sajjawal Ameer
• He tooked ride from Naseerabad station to Lakho
• Murdered in Lakho zone
• Police Investigation

• 26 years old careem captain
• Junaid Mustafa
• He tooked ride from F11 Markaz to G-13
• Atta was the pessanger
• Atta ask Junaid to get off from the car
• Open fire and murdered him on the spot

14. CONSEQUENCES
• Security Concerns among captains and riders as well
• Shortage of captains
• Many of the captains deny dropping at your house at night they drop
customers at main.
• Captains get scared of this law and order situation in country and
because of this many of the protests held by the captains and
demanding some security measures to protect from such events.

15. CORRECTIVE ACTIONS
• Call for Immediate meeting which included Captains, Customers,
Personnel from law enforcements agencies, Security agencies)
• Identifying unsafe routes
e.g. Shah Allah ditta Road
• Option to cancel or re-assign the ride.

16. RECOMMENDATIONS
• Add Security feature in application.
• Other than rating the comments section must be included in Careem app through
which customers and captains view the comments left by customers and captains to
access the personality of a person.
