• The parts of control structure diagram will be appeared in the first
column of the causal factors table.
• There are two ways to document the causal factors:
• Write general causal factors
• Write individual casual factors and scenarios for each unsafe
control action which is identified in STPA Step 1

Causal factors Table
• In the version 2.3.0, we implemented the causal scenarios in which the
safety analysts can edit the causal scenarios.
• To add/remove the causal scenarios from the causal factors table.
• Go to menu Project -> Project Settings, then you can uncheck or
check the causal scenarios.
• Finally, click on Apply Button
