To Whom It May Concern,
It is with great pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation for Ashley Razo. In the Fall of 2012,
Ashley enrolled in my Advertising class. Ashley, was one of my best students, as she had an inquisitive
mind for marketing. Often times, we would talk about the latest ‘marketing news’ or discuss other topics
related to business. I truly enjoyed our talks and sharing my thoughts and opinions with her.
I was equally impressed with Ashley’s marketing I.Q. that she demonstrated with her Final: An Integrated
Marketing Campaign for Budweiser. Equally as valuable, were her strong managerial and interpersonal
skills. Ashley, worked well with all of her groups and was able to easily build consensus with her teams.
She also showed great flexibility and adaptability in managing the various projects throughout the
semester.
Ashley earned a letter grade of ‘A’ in my class. I was not surprised, as unlike most students Ashley had
experience and exposure to the field of marketing prior to taking my course. For example, Ashley had
been involved in the business community in high school where she participated in the prestigious business
club, DECA. DECA allowed Ashley to learn and hone her strategic thinking skills as she got experience
with problem-resolutions for mock firms. She even won 3rd
place at a regional competition and 5th
at the
state level. Along those same lines, at the University of Illinois-Chicago, Ashley was involved with
various business organizations, such as The Economic and Management Club.
Ashley, was by far, an exemplary marketing student. She was a great role model for her classmates at the
University of Illinois-Chicago. Similarly, I am most certain with her business acumen, leadership and
maturity, that she would be an asset to your organization. I hope that you will give Ashley Razo an
opportunity to join your marketing organization!
Sincerely,
Kim Moon
Lecturer
