• Spearheaded efforts in preparing the following documents -
o Export commercial invoice, packing list and SDF form as per customer letter of instruction.
o B/L as well as airway bill instructions as per customer requirement and send the same to forwarder.
• Responsible for checking the following tasks -
o B/E checklist and give final go ahead to CHA accordingly.
o Original shipping bill after shipment that details mentioned there in are as per our instructions & description of
the import commercial invoice, packing list and inform supplier.
o Original B/E after clearance that detailed there in as per checklist go ahead.
o CHA bill and ensure timely payment to them through accounts.
• Received the import pre-alert documents from supplier and confirming as per the request and overseas Logistics
Functions of Import. Also, coordinated with sales team for purchase planning and with overseas suppliers/ principles
for procurement.
• Managed purchase orders to supplier and following up for timely shipment of material. Supervised the pre alert
documents from supplier on time and arrange the same to CHA.
• Administered the duty checklist from CHA & giving final go ahead to CHA for filling the bill of entry and coordinated
with accounts department for timely handing the duty DD, DO DD, etc. to CHA.
• Ensured that there is coordination with CHA for timely clearance of the shipment and its arrival in plant and also with
the accounts department for timely payment of the overseas suppliers.
• To ensure proper entry of Incoming material (Imported) in the stock and ensure proper record maintenance of
outgoing material(Imported) on the FIFO basis.
MYTEX POLYMERS (I) PVT. LTD, GURGAON Oct’09-May’10

• To make Import material planning based upon the requirement from Production Planning and control department.
• To prepare Purchase orders and timely dispatch of the same to overseas suppliers.
• To receipt Purchase order confirmation from suppliers along with the tentative dispatch schedule
• To follow up with supplier for timely dispatch of the material.
• To receive Pre Alert documents from suppliers and identify the correctness of the documents.
• To sent the pre alert documents to CHA for his timely action.
• To arrange the original documents from supplier on time and arrange the same to CHA.
• To receive the duty check list from CHA and check the same at own end and then give final go ahead to CHA for filling
the Bill of Entry.
• To coordinate with Accounts department for timely handover the Duty DD, DO DD etc to CHA.
• To ensure proper coordination with CHA for timely clearance of the shipment and its arrival in plant.
• To check the CHA bill and ensure timely payment to them through Accounts.
• To submit Original Triplicate Bill of Entry in the bank.
• To ensure with accounts department for timely payment of the overseas suppliers.
• To negotiate with the overseas suppliers for price reduction, for using good shipping line etc.
• To coordinate with Insurance companies in case material found damage while arriving in plant.

• Negotiated with forwarder for ex-works charges, freight and destination charges (both for Air and Sea Shipments);
coordinated with them for timely pick up of the material and also intimating forwarder detail to supplier.
• Coordinated with:
o CHA by timely providing him the pre alert documents for Air shipment and Sea shipments as well as original
documents for sea shipments at ICD, TKD (FCL)/ICD, Patparganj (LCL) shipment.
o CHA for custom duty and other charges.
• Follow up for Timely clearance of the shipment (air/ sea) in order to avoid demurrages (arranging technical details
from supplier if customs asks for that) and ensure timely dispatch of material from Airport/ICD to Pannagar Plant.
• Checked forwarders bill, CHA bills & accordingly arranging for their payment from Pantnagar Plant
• Prepare CENVAT credit audit objection and show cause notices reply pertaining to credit on various services availed.
• Maintaining records of import concerning battery division through proper files/MS Excel/ Word.

• Coordinated with various Lumax units located in India and prepare the imported material plan accordingly and
prepared and issued Purchase orders for planned imported material and follow up with seller to ensure confirmation
of the same.
• Successfully, coordinated with around 20 overseas customers located at Germany, Thailand, Taiwan, Korea, Japan,
USA, Singapore etc. through telecom, email and fax in order to ensure timely dispatch of the material.
• Monitored the Excess Vs shortage status of the material and accordingly keep arrangement to cope up with the same.
• Coordinated with nominated Forwarders to timely pick up the Ex-Works shipment and arranged pre alert as well as
original documents to the CHA and coordinate with him for timely clearance of the material at both Chennai and
Nhava Sheva Seaports for sea shipment as well as Chennai Airport, Mumbai Airport and New Delhi Airport without
any demurrage to the shipments.
• Coordinated with CHA for timely arrival of material in the plant and prepared the MIS report.
