Inbound movements (Imports)
• Receiving import orders from customers and arranging pick up, Ocean freight and clearance at
origin
• Coordinating with overseas suppliers to prepare relevant export documents at origin in compliance
with Dubai customs
• Updating product data in ERP after considering the basis of keeping inventory levels and updating
tally sheets based on shipping documents received from overseas suppliers
• Arranging customs clearance up on arrival after classifying relevant Harmonised System Codes and
coordinating with transport and documentation team to pull out the cleared shipments
• Planning, scheduling and supervising receiving operations at warehouse
• Monitoring tally sheets to that of the physical stock received based on the reports received from
tally clerks
• Notifying the client in case of product damage / shortages and adjust the inventory accordingly
• Monitoring and analysing weight and volume updation done by the warehouse team and issuing
GRN (Good Received Note), once all the details are confirmed
• Arranging 3PL storage of those items which are not allowed for storage at MFC facility and
managing inventory levels for the items stored with 3PL providers
Outbound movements (Exports)
• Receiving export orders from customer
• Updating sales order list in ERP as per the order sheets received from customer and deciding up on
FIFO or LIFO requirements
• Advising the customers on best economical mode of transportation based up the volume, weight
and transit time
• Analysing nature of orders received and instructing warehouse team in case any rework is required
• Prepare export documents like Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Harmonised System Code form,
Bill of Lading, Transfer of Ownership and other documents required for customs clearance
• Booking ocean freight & liaising with documentation and transport department for the smooth flow
of export operations
• Monitoring the GIN (Goods Issued Note) and adjusting inventory levels
PRICING, PROCUREMENT & ADMINISTRATION
• Getting quotes from shipping line, agents, transporters, 3PL (3rd Party Logistics Providers) and
suppliers for warehouse consumables
• Negotiating rates received from various parties
• Analysing rates received from various suppliers and choosing suppliers based on evaluation of
