The student learned several new technologies through completing their media project. They learned how to crop and remove backgrounds from photos using Word, how to change images to black and white or alter colors using Word, and how to blog and upload videos to sites like Blogger and YouTube by posting updates and embedding video links. These skills have expanded their understanding of using different software.

1. What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this
product?
Before this project, my
understanding of how to
use different software was
limited, but now, I feel like
I have learnt a lot and I
think this is shown by my
final media product. For
example, I problem I faces
was how to crop photos
and to remove the
background. I had to use a
feature on word and this
allowed me to successfully
crop photos. This is an
example of what I have
learnt
I have also leant how to use areas of word that I
didn’t know how to such as changing an image to
change the look or just overall colour to black and
white for example. This is an example of how I
changed the colour of an image.
I have also learnt how to use blogger, a blogging website that I have used to
post my progress in my media task. I have learnt how to post on it and also
how to record videos and upload them. Also, I had to use YouTube to be able
to make a link so when someone clicks on it, it takes them to the video.
