2. What?
Mental Management is a model that
helps us cope with demands and
describes how to meet changes in the
best possible way, so we can feel
empowered and enjoy working.
3. Presuppositions
• Most workplaces are in need of a new kind of
professional, a mental manager, who is educated to
guide the employees into new ways of thinking.
• Everyone, the employee as well as the employer, has the
right to get along well on the job.
• The problems are focused on in a way that brings along
alternative solutions and improves communication and
cooperation.
4. Why?
As the outside world changes, our inside world does not
change at the same speed. Thats why we need
professional guiding in how to handle changes.
In knowledge work there aren't any supervisors anymore.
Everyone is expected to manage his work tasks himself,
what to do as well as how to do it. He is only given goals
and resuorces.
5. How? What to do?
Cognitive problem solving methods, such as
process consultation, are combined with mental
training and relaxation exercises.
The employers are guided to invent new solutions.
The professional mental manager summarizes
these and outlines them back in a concrete
shape.
