Lastly,A Brief historyof Japanese restaurantsfindingsbyaresearchersthatthe worldof Japanese
cuisine hasa longhistory, whichischangingoverthe centuries. Itisrichin unique traditionsandsteady
customs. It seemstobe extraordinaryandunusual formanyEuropeans.Perhaps,Japanese cuisine isan
example of originality, diversityandusefulness, whichiswhyitisone of the favorite foodof many
people livingindifferentpartsof the World. If you wantto get a bettertaste of Japanese food, itis
necessarytoreferto itshistory,whichdatesbackto manycenturiesago.Japanis a countrywithrich
floraand fauna.Therefore,the populationof thiscountryhasneverhadanyproblemswithgetting
enoughfoodfora normal existence.Evenmanycenturiesago, the Japanese people hadabout20
differentspeciesof plantsintheirfoodration,couldcookdifferentdishesfrommore than120 kindsof
meat,as well asprepare dishesfrommultiple fishspeciesandshellfish.Differentfoodtraditionsof
othernationshave influencedthe Japanese cuisine. Thus, ithascreatedand adopteditsunique customs
and recipesoverthe centuries.Japanesechefsandrestaurantsstill use thissystemintheirrecipes.
In 1200-s, trade betweenthe differentcountrieshasbecome popular.Japanesecuisinemixedwith
Dutch and Portuguese.Itincorporatedpotatoes,corn,andsweetpotatoes.Then,afryingtechnique
“tempura”became popular.
Duringthe 20th century,Japanese cuisineinvolvedbread,ice cream, coffeeandotherwesternfoods.
Nevertheless,Japanese still cherishtheirtraditionsandoptforclassiccookingrecipes.
It isknownthat Chinese people showedJapanesehow tocultivate rice in300 B.C.No wonderthat
Chinese showedhowtouse chopsticks, aswell asintroducedthe usage of soysauce and tofuin
everydaylife.
Later in700 A.D.,meatconsumptionwasprohibitedbyBuddhists.Buddhismintroduceddishesmade
fromraw fishand rice to Japanese people.Bythe way, itstill remainsone of the mainreligionsinJapan.
Vegetariandishesbecame popularin1800-s. The recipesbecame simplerandpeople dividedall dishes
into5 colorclassesand6 tastes. OurResearchers knowingthe brief historyof Japanese restaurantand
