Pickering, Ontario
Manager/Owner
In 2006 my wife and I were expecting our second child, we starting a web based baby clothing
and accessories business. In 6 months our home was stacked to the roof with orders and
inventory. We then decided to take the risk of expanding into a 2500 square foot store front in a
plaza in Pickering. By the time 12 months had passed we were considering a move to a larger
store front.
I was the day to day operations manager for the store.
I took an old run down ice cream parlour and renovated it with the help of my wife and father,
we ended up with a beautiful store that expectant moms to be and parents with little ones loved
to come and spend time browsing and the kids play area was always a happy place.
We sold clothing, strollers, cribs, toys and other novelty items like baby cd’s of lullaby style rock
classics.
We employed 2 students for the warmer months and our daughter Ruby was socialized in her 2
years playing at the greatest toy store making new friends every day. Unfortunately we had to
close down with the illness of my mother and step dad almost simultaneously.
