and clothes are very soft, warming colours.
The shallow depth of field emphasises the
soft colours of Beyoncé in the foreground.
Rule of thirds is followed, with Beyoncé set
on the right hand side of the image so that
background on the left can be seen and the
image isn’t too over powering.
The image portrays her natural beauty and
the colours used represent how Beyoncé is
seen by the public eye as a very
sophisticated, angelic woman.
The vibrant colours used in this image of Florence Welch
reflect her style of music therefore it appeals to her target
audience. The rule of thirds applies in this image with the
main focal point being the top middle section, where the
colour of her hair and the glitter on her hands stands out
and instantly attracts the readers eye. Her eyes are
looking directly into the camera but are slightly covered
by her fringe, reflecting her quirky, mysterious
personality. The shallow depth of field is dull, making
Florence stand out against the background and ensuring
the the reader isn’t distracted from the image by anything
around it.
This image of Kings of Leon is effective
because Caleb, the lead singer, is at the front
of the image and is the only one looking
directly at the camera. This attracts the
readers eye straight away and portrays his role
in the band as the lead singer. None of the
members of the band are smiling and all have
hard looks on their faces, represting their
genre of music as alternative rock.

personality with the bright colours used.
The leapord print and the bright red lipstick
are sexual colours, relfecting the image
Rihanna creates of herself to the public.
Her pose, with her looking slightly upwards
but straight into the camera and licking her
lips, is also very sexual and portrays her
personality. The rule of thirds applies to
this picture with the main focal point being her face in the centre of the image.
