11. Successful Rehearsals
• Hydration!- drink lots of water before, during,
and after rehearsal! Drink water the night
before practice and electrolyte replacement
drinks after practice. Avoid caffeine and high
sodium drinks.
• Eat a healthy breakfast that included protein,
carbohydrates and fruit, avoid dairy products as
they can upset the stomach in extreme
temperatures.
• Bring snacks and a healthy lunch- frozen
grapes, fruit, and granola bars are a good
source of moisture and quick energy snacks.
Plan a lunch that contains a balance of fruit,
veggies, protein and hydration. A dessert is a
great treat and source of fast energy.A box
lunch program is being offered by the boosters
at a minimal charge during band camp.
• Bring a positive attitude! Camp is fun, everyday
students will get to know new people and
participate in fun activities. New concepts are
learned each day; students will get out of camp
what they put in! Remember a good camp is
preparation for a good season!
• Start and release times- students should arrive 10
minutes early so the Regiment is ready to go at call
times. Rehearsals go up to release time, parents
should expect to pick up students 15-20 minutes
after release time; pending how fast individual
students clean up, socialize and move to pick up
area.
• Parent help is welcomed- please contact boosters
to volunteer for water, first aid, uniform fittings,
and/ or other areas where help is needed.
