Description This project targets the wholesale as well as the consumer business
needs by offering the official and mobile package discounts
respectively. The packages can be offered either both or separately
depend upon the business needs and hence the new discounts applied
on it. A new calculator has been introduced which calculates the
discounts needed and sends it to other backends to calculate invoice.

issue by allowing a single bill to be produced out of Flexcab for charges
from both Flexcab and CCB.

Duration Jul 2008 to Sep 2009
Role Developer for this Project.
Environment IBM Mainframes
Technology/Software COBOL, JCL, DB2 Control-M, File Aid, Endever, OMCS, RTLS
Description Existing customers are being migrated to the new CCB Platform in a
Saumya Srivastava Page 06
7. whole of customer approach. Customers are migrated to CCB if they
utilize the following service types only:
• Mobile services
• BigPond services
• Foxtel services
• Fixed services with simple products only
Fixed services with complex products (mostly with TB and TE&G
customers) will still remain in Flexcab.
Due to this change to the billing landscape, there are large numbers of
customers who have been inadvertently ‘split’ across 2 billing systems
(for reasons which mainly are about lack of product support in CCB-
RCRM/CCB-RBILL solution). The customer will receive separate
invoices, one from each billing platform and this will result in customer
dissatisfaction in the following areas:
• Unable to get a single view of all the Telstra services, usage
and spend for analysis
• Unable to obtain aggregate discount and reward based on total
spend across the customer account
• Multiple payments for multiple invoices
• Multiple contact numbers for individual invoices
This initiative, Kenan Single Bill to Flexcab, aims at addressing this
issue by allowing a single bill to be produced out of Flexcab for charges
from both Flexcab and CCB.
2) Modify the current CADB online functionality to two new fields in
CADB Online screens.
Roles &
Responsibilities
