Here are the class rules for my Victorian school:
Children will line up outside the classroom in silence, boys on the left and girls on the right, according to age. When the teacher arrives, you must bow your head and say "Good morning, Sir/Miss" before entering in an orderly fashion.
Lessons will focus on reading, writing, arithmetic and Scripture for all students. Boys will also study woodworking, drawing and geography while girls learn sewing, cooking and music. Lessons will be taught through repetition, copying from the board, and responding to questions from the teacher. Any incorrect answers will result in punishment.
The classroom contains rows of wooden desks and chairs for students, as well as a teachers' desk
