Planning
• Planning is nothing but thinking before the action takes
place.
• Planning is the process of deciding the objectives to be
achieved and selecting the ways and means of achieving
the pre-decided objectives.
• Planning is the fundamental management function,
which involves deciding beforehand, what is to be done,
when is it to be done, how it is to be done and who is
going to do it.
• decide in advance the way to deal with the situations

Year Plan
• The number of units in the syllabus.
• The number of periods allotted for each of the
units.
• The number of working days per term and year.
• The number of days for government holidays,
study holidays, revision and examinations.
Year Plan

• It is a planning for the year, a year’s work. It includes distribution
of work/ lessons in a given manner throughout the year.
• It is a systematic calendar of lesson plans, holidays and extra
activities like sports
• Year plan is a systematic procedure for finding out the extent to
which the pupils have realized the objectives and specification
day, annual day, science exhibitions and fairs.

•A unit consists of many
lessons and will be

• Jacobson, Eggen and Kauchak Jacobson, Eggen and Kauchak
(1989) suggest the following Lesson Plan Format:
• 1. Objectives - the Intent of the Lesson from Unit Plan.
• 2. Introduction (Set Induction)- an Activity to Obtain Attention of the
Learners.
• 3. Content - Outline of Content of Lesson.
• 4. Methods & Procedures- Listing of Developmental Activities taken from
Unit Plan.

• 6. Resources & Materials- List of Materials for the Lesson.
• 7. Evaluation Procedure- Activity/Technique to Determine if

Next Class Period.

Planning • Planning is nothing but thinking before the action takes place. • Planning is the process of deciding the objectives to be achieved and selecting the ways and means of achieving the pre-decided objectives. • Planning is the fundamental management function, which involves deciding beforehand, what is to be done, when is it to be done, how it is to be done and who is going to do it. • decide in advance the way to deal with the situations
  • 3. Advantage of Planning • It save time and hard work. • Easily achieved Objective • Resource Utilization • Planning Provide more details of teaching method, TLM & Assessment .
  • 4. Year Plan • The number of units in the syllabus. • The number of periods allotted for each of the units. • The number of working days per term and year. • The number of days for government holidays, study holidays, revision and examinations. Year Plan
  • 5. Continue • It is a planning for the year, a year’s work. It includes distribution of work/ lessons in a given manner throughout the year. • It is a systematic calendar of lesson plans, holidays and extra activities like sports • Year plan is a systematic procedure for finding out the extent to which the pupils have realized the objectives and specification day, annual day, science exhibitions and fairs.
  • 6. Lesson Plan •A lesson plan is usually prepared by the teacher who conduct a lesson for student to make sure a lesson meets is objective and leaning take effectively.
  • 7. Unit Plan •A unit consists of many lessons and will be taught for a longer period, for Example a semester
  • 8. Lesson Plan • Jacobson, Eggen and Kauchak Jacobson, Eggen and Kauchak (1989) suggest the following Lesson Plan Format: • 1. Objectives - the Intent of the Lesson from Unit Plan. • 2. Introduction (Set Induction)- an Activity to Obtain Attention of the Learners. • 3. Content - Outline of Content of Lesson. • 4. Methods & Procedures- Listing of Developmental Activities taken from Unit Plan.

Evaluation Procedure- Activity/Technique to Determine if Students Learned the Intended Outcome. • 8.   • 10. Unit Plan • 1. Topic- Derived from Course Outline, Textbook/State Curriculum Guide. • 2. Goals and Objectives- Listed Learning Intentions/Goals. • 3. Content Outline Content Outline- Outline of Material to be Covered. • 4. Learning Activities- Teacher and Student Activities Arranged in a Series of Daily Lessons leading to Learning Outcomes.
