Time Period: Sep 2014 - Present Position: Production/Process/Project Executive.
Syngene International Ltd. A Biocon company.
My role at Syngene involved:
 Coordinating with the project team for a Validation, Installation and Commissioning
of new production plant right from the beginning of the planning, URS, preparation
and review of the design basis, PFD, P&ID, process and utility calculations, Material
balance.
 Sole engineer on site dealing with the validation, qualification of equipment,
commissioning of the DCS system, start-up at field, performance test run evaluation,
troubleshooting activities.
 Controlling Factory/Site Acceptance Tests and sectional commissioning of completed
systems including creating and maintaining the documentation as SOP’s, EOP’s to
GMP/FDA standard.
 Setting up scale-up and scale-down processes including appropriate changes to
equipment design and configuration by considering the process criticality and
capacity improvement.
 Handling of equipment in plant operation as reactor, centrifuge, nutsche filters sifter,
multi mill, RCVD, etc., optimizing production by analysing processes and compiling
de-bottleneck studies and supporting process documentations as SAP, cGMP and
Safety policies.
 I have been involved in the production process for a bulk scale-up by considering
consistency in yield, quality and timelines.

 Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering (BMS College of Engineering
(Autonomous affiliated to VTU)) with an aggregate of 8.23 CGPA.

 Industrial in plant training at ULTRATECH CEMENTS Ltd. Gulbarga (JUL-2012).
Description: During this training how an industry works and how different
departments co-ordinate for the final product manufacture and also a brief knowledge
of Process and unit operations in the manufacturing of cement.

 Enzymatic hydrolysis of chitin to produce oligomers is carried out using the
filamentous fungi Trichoderma harzianum (MTCC 3928). The main objectives of
the work was to carryout hydrolysis of chitin, to find pH and temperature effect on
hydrolysis, and to develop batch process.
ACHIEVEMENTS
 Awarded for establishing a robust cost efficient high throughput process for
synthesizing on of the critical compound at Syngene International Ltd.
