2. TRIANGLE
A Triangle is a Polygon with three Edges
and three Vertices. It is one of the basic
shapes in geometry.A triangle with
vertics A,B and C is denoted by triangle
ABC.
4. Based on sides
Equilateral Triangle
• In geometry, an equilateral triangle is a
triangle in which all three sides are equal. In
the familiar Euclidean geometry, an equilateral
triangle is also equiangular; that is, all three
internal angles are also congruent to each
other and are each
60 degree
5. Isosceles Triangles
• In geometry, an isosceles triangle is a triangle that has
two sides of equal length. Sometimes it is specified as
having exactly two sides of equal length, and
sometimes as having at least two sides of equal length,
the latter version thus including the equilateral
triangle as a special case.
6. Scalene Triangle
• A scalene triangle is a triangle that has three unequal
sides, such as those illustrated below.
7. Based on Angle
Acute angled Triangle
• An acute-angled triangle is a type of triangle in which
all the three internal angles of the triangle are acute,
that is, they measure less than 90 degree.
8. Obtuse Triangle
• An obtuse-angled triangle is a triangle in
which one of the interior angles
measures more than 90° degrees.
9. Right angled Triangle
• A right triangle or right-angled triangle is a triangle in
which one angle is a right angle. The relation
between the sides and angles of a right triangle is the
basis for trigonometry. The side opposite the right
angle is called the hypotenuse. The sides adjacent to
the right angle are called legs.
10. Evaluation Question
• 1.The three angles of
an isosceles triangle
are A, B and C. If angle
'B' = 38 degrees and 'C'
= 104 degrees, then 'A'
= _____.
• 52 degrees
• 104 degrees
• 19 degrees
• 38 degrees
• 2.If two sides of a
triangle are congruent,
then the angles
opposite these sides
are _____.
• complementary
• congruent
• supplementary
• right angle
