Honey bees live in highly organized colonies and play an important role in pollinating many flowering plants and crops. Within the colony, bees work together and have different roles - worker bees perform tasks inside the hive like feeding larvae, building comb cells, and storing honey; while forager bees collect pollen, nectar, propolis and water. The lecture discussed the biology of honey bees, their social structure and different roles within the colony.
