This document outlines the responsibilities of a role which include assisting with student publications, coordinating teaching cover when tutors are unavailable, and helping to develop and maintain course materials. Additional responsibilities involve administering student feedback mechanisms, monitoring action plans and student attendance, assisting with appeals processes, and ensuring accurate and timely publication of assessment information, collection and processing of coursework, coordination of examinations, and recording and disclosure of student marks.
1. My responsibilities include:
● To assist in the production of student handbooks and other student publications.
● To coordinate teaching cover when Tutors are unable to attend work, including the
effective communication of any changes to students, recording the deputising
arrangements for pay adjustments to be applied.
● To assist Heads of Schools in the development and maintenance of course and
programme folders on an annual basis.
● To coordinate and administer programme/course and module/unit feedback
mechanisms, including data analysis and evaluation.
● To monitor action plans relating to programme and course improvement and/or
student matters.
● To monitor information presented within the ACM app and website that relates to
courses to ensure that published information is complete and accurate.
● To monitor student attendance and other participation measures, liaising directly
with students about participation matters including arranging and minuting student
meetings.
● To assist with the administration of the Appeals, Complaints, Student Disciplinary
and Academic Misconduct processes.
● To liaise with School Managers to publish an assessment schedule for each level of
study. and ensure student assessment records are set up in accordance with
regulatory frameworks and timeframes.
● To ensure that assignment briefs and other assessment information is complete and
published to students in a timely manner..
● To process received coursework, including tracking, coordinating the moderation
and returning to students by the published feedback deadline.
● To coordinate the examination timetable and ensure all arrangements are made for
the effective conduct of examinations, including rooming, the appointment of
invigilators and consideration of any special candidate requirements.
● To accurately record student marks and feedback and ensure confidential
disclosure of these to the students and external partners/awarding bodies.
