2. THE CONSTITUTION
The Spanish
Constitution is the
fundamental law of
Spain (since 1978).
In spain, the head of
state in the monarch
(the king) but he
does not govern.

3. Spain is a democratic
state .That means that :
● Everybody has the
same rights and
obligations.
● We are equal in the
eyes of the law ,
whatever our gender,
race or religion.
● Power resides with
people , who freely
elect those who
governthem.

4. ● Spain is a
parlamentary
monarchy, divided
into 17 autonomous
comunities, that are
divided into provinces
and municipalities.

5. ● The Constitution
recognises the
rights and
freedom of
Spain citizens;
● it estabilished
obligations ,too.

6. ● The constitution
divides state power
into three branches :
● The legislative
power: it is held by
parlament .
● The executive power
: its is held by
goverment.
● The judicial power :
it is exercised by
judges .

7. THE EUROPEAN UNION
● The European Union
is an economic and
political union of 28
European countries.
● It was founded in
1957 but Spain
became part of it in
1986 .
● They have the some
currency : euro
