Our mission is to provide
increased independence and
social connection through
trained service dog
partnerships. The human
animal bond is powerful, and
we believe that the connection
people have with canines can
help breakdown social barriers
and provide companionship,
comfort and hope.

To help us fulfill our mission and
provide quality service and facility dogs
to our community, please consider
donating to Anchor Assistance Dogs.
As a nonprofit, we rely on your
generous donations to fund our
programs. All donations are tax
deductible.
If you have experience with
fundraising, organizational
development, grant writing, or
marketing, or if you’d like to help us
out with special projects and events,
please let us know!
Our volunteer puppy raising
program teaches volunteers to train,
socialize, and care for our young
assistance dog candidates in
training. This fun and rewarding
volunteer opportunity is a great way
to learn about positive dog training
and give back to the community!
Our service dogs provide support to a
child or adult with physical
disabilities. Some of the disabilities we
serve include multiple sclerosis, spina
bifida, muscular dystrophy, spinal cord
injuries, amputations, paralysis, and
other neurological and medical
disorders that limit physical mobility
and independence. If you feel you or a
loved one could benefit from a service
dog, please contact us to apply.
Our facility dogs provide animal-
assisted therapy to many individuals.
We place our facility dogs with
human services professionals working
in nursing homes, hospitals,
courtrooms, classrooms, counseling
services, nonprofit organizations, and
other workplaces. If your clients could
benefit from a human-canine
connection in your workplace, please
contact us to apply.
Anchor Assistance Dogs would be
happy to speak to your community
group or classroom about our
service dog program, assistance
dogs, responsible dog ownership,
and positive training. Give us a call
to schedule a presentation.
