4. SELF REFLECTION
After graduating High School, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do with my life, my mom suggest getting
a job, so I did. My first job was as a server in a restaurant called Giuseppe’s Restaurant. Not having any
experience made it difficult at first, learning the menu as well as dealing with customer. After a year of
working there unfortunately the restaurant went out of business and that was when I started working
at Club Sushi since I already had some experience serving. While still working at Club Sushi I decided
that I wanted to go to school, so I enroll to Hodges University to pursue a career in Health Studies. At
one point the restaurant wasn’t doing so I had to look for a different alternative, I was able to find an
office job as a service receptionist at Audi of Naples. I continue to work at Club Sushi, Audi and go full
time to school for almost a year until I felt into depression, I wouldn’t do it all, so at the end of 2013 I
drop out of school. That was the time I found out that Health Studies wasn’t my passion. At the begin
of 2014 I was giving the opportunity to work for AT&T, having to quit my two jobs. I worked for AT&T
almost 5 years but in the back of my mind I knew I need to do just more than just customer service. I
always thought my passion was in the health field, I never knew I could have a career in the sports field.
I always had an interest in sports, that was something that really caught my attention but never actually
pursued. Once I left AT&T and began working at Comcast, one of my coworkers was talking to me
about his school and all the different careers that they offer. I began to do my research; I wouldn’t
believe I was able to find something that I actually liked. I went over the programs the school actually
over until I found the one, I knew I wanted to do, that’s when I made the call and didn’t look back.
Now I’m on this amazing journey where I couldn’t be happier of pursuing the job of my dreams,
working as a marketing director for NBC, ESPN, The Miami Heat or even The White Sox.
5. WHAT IS YOUR ARCHETYPE?
THE MAGICIAN
I consider the magician my personal archetype because I’m the type of person that
likes to get things done without other people knowing or noticing on what I am
working on. I like to know how things work, and know them well before I’m
successful at them.
