2. ● People use math knowledge all the time, sometimes without
even realising
● We can find math everywhere around us; it is most likely to notice
shapes, numbers, measures, directions, angles, sizes,
dimensional figures… around us
● Fun fact: every time children use blocks, boxes, puzzles and
similar they are actually learning geometry
● Last year our teacher gave us task to find parabola in real life, this
year we had similar task – we had to find where we use sinusoid
(some of our work will be on next slide)

Sunflower
They are mathematical marvel. The
pattern of seeds within a sunflower
follows the Fibonacci sequence, or
1,2,3,5,8,13,21 -> each number in the
sequence is the sum of the previous 2.

It is comprised of numerous radii, a
logarithmic spiral and the arithmetic
spiral.
Also, sunflowers follow golden ratio and
pi number.

Honey bees are capable of

learned to use blue and yellow as
symbols for addition/subtraction.

represents da Vinci's concept of the
ideal human body proportions. Its
inscription in a square and a circle
comes from a description by the
ancient Roman architect Vitruvius in
Book III of his treatise De architectura.
