3. INTRODUCTION
A dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC) is a low-cost
solar cell belonging to the group of thin
film solar cells.
4. ACTIVITY 1: INVESTIGATING PHOTOSYNTHESIS
OF PLANT DISKS
Objective: We learned that the
photosynthetic rate is different with different
colors.

syringe
And then put
it in distilled

In the end
we got the
results

6. ACTIVITY 2: SEPARATING LEAF PIGMENTS USING
PAPER CHROMATOGRAPHY
Objective: We use the dye solution to
separate the dyes
Tools used in
the activity
Copy the dye on
paper
Keep paper

the dye solution
7. ACTIVITY 2: SEPARATING LEAF PIGMENTS USING
PAPER CHROMATOGRAPHY
Conclusion: Chlorophyll has four dyes, green,
orange yellowish, yellowish green, yellow

We found that the a solar cell supplies about 1.5
volts and 8 mile amperes under a 75 watt light bulb.
And the resistance has been calculated to 0.8
ohms

12. SOLAR HEATER
As you know that the Qatari society likes to spend the weekend in
the mainland, and this is the idea of our project in the energy that
you need to spend the Qatari family needs in such leave, the
provision of our product provides the raw material in the
production of electricity as fuel, diesel fuel.
Solar Geyser: The idea is to use solar cells to absorb sunlight
and convert it to energy and stockpiled in batteries, and can use
the ideas of the solar heater: -
First: Connect thermal wire with batteries and when they pass
the electricity in the wires heat up and help in cooking.
The second: output to an electric current can be used to charge
the "laptop" or a mobile phone and etc.
13. SIGNIFICANCE OF THIS PROJECT
cardboard box solar ovens make a great summer project for the
family. Not only are they fun to make, but they are also fun to
make food in. You get to use an all natural source - the sun!
This project aims to: provide clean energy to be available and
easy to transport, use and provision of raw materials, fuel,
diesel, and the conversion of solar energy into electrical.
14. Hypothesis
Hypothesis: Our project (Solar Geyser) if developed and
increase the amount of solar panels and efficiency may
obviate the electricity generator used by the Qatari family in
the mainland in the weekend, and the coal used in cooking.
15. METHODS AND MATERIALS
We use(dye-sensitized solar cell)to put it in
the solar heater
Our teams between (dye-sensitized solar
cells) and(silicon solar cells)and we preferred
(dye-sensitized solar cells)because they are
less cost
16. SOLAR HEATER
RESULTS:-
Used in solar geyser of camping with the family or when you go to the
beach
We have managed to solve the problem (the provision of raw materials
and the production of clean energy at the lowest cost)
17. SOLAR HEATER
RECOMMENDATIONS :-
We recommend expanding the project uses,
where it is used in the operation of the
television or video games (PlayStation)
We recommend that the development of
solar cells where the largest amount
graduated from voltage
18. CONCLUSIONS
In the end Al-bairaq experience was more than a great
experience and we learned a lot, especially about
photosynthesis.
19. ACKNOWLEDGMENT
Many thanks to my teachers, school and AL-Bairaq team
from Center for Advanced Materials (CAM), Qatar
University for supporting us during our journey with a AL-Bairaq.
Also, I would like to thank the sponsors UNESCO, Ras
Gas, Maersk and Shell.
