Starting as Digital 2IC for 3 years and then becooming Digital Services manager for the next 6
years while completing a course in Cert IV and Diploma in Front Line Management.
I also broadened my horizons as a Sales Coordinator. Duties included scheduling, dealing with
clients, staff management and training. Ensuring QA is applied and maintained over all processes
Client Liaison. Developing and in-depth understanding of their needs and accommodating them.
Scheduling jobs to meet client expectations
Scheduling of work and the rostering of staff. CPX runs 2 shifts from 6am to 11pm requiring
strategic rostering of staff levels, planning both consumables and the most effective work flow
Downloading/imposing files for output both in colour and in B/W digital printing devices.
Programmes uesed were – Preps imposition (Prinergy), Kodak Smartboard Acrobat, Microsoft,
Outlook, Quark, Pitstop, Emos.
Operation of B/W devices – Kodak Digi master125s, Xerox 6series and docutech series.
Maintaining maximum output by ensuring the best job mix accross all machines, ensuing stock
levels are maintained andnew stock is obtained for the next job.
Colour devices – Oce platinum, Xerox 2060 using fiery rips. Ensuring quality of colour is
maintained and maximizing throughtput of jobs
Hiring and training of staff and when necessary, firing staff
Department QA Officer. Ensuring that all proceedures and processes are been followed in
compliance wiht CPX continual improvement system. CPX is a quality assured company
Purchasing Officer – Responsible for the ordering of stock and consumables for the entire
department
Responsible for accurate stock count levels which are measured in reports. Developed a
measurement tool to accurately capture the productivity in the department.
General bindery skills – when necessary I utilised desktop machines, I regularly used and trained
staff on the ultra speed punch.
