Responsible for all the planning activities of plants located in Riyadh-KSA and RasAl Khaima –
UAE with a total production of ~1billion Saudi Riyals/year. Main responsibilities included the
following.
a. Verification and approval of monthly, weekly and daily plans prepared by
planning engineers.
b. Approval of raw material purchase requests in line with the budgeted
inventory policy.
c. Monitor the plan execution and report the deviation to other departments/
higher management for necessary corrective action.
d. Offer the possible delivery for quotes/customer orders with the help of Gant
Charts generated from ERP system (Oracle).
e. General administrative jobs for planning department.
Achievements –
a. Within one year span, I was able to reduce the raw material inventory from 80million SR
to 45million SR without affecting the total business volume.
b. JIT (Just In Time) techniques were applied for metals and locally available materials like
XLPE, PE, PVC, HFFR, etc. (bi-products from petro chemical industry).
c. LEAN, Six Sigma and PMP techniques were applied in most of the planning activities for
reduced process steps and error free out puts.
d. Actively involved in centralization and decentralization of plants at different locations.

Twisters) with the help of excel based macro programmes.
Actively participated in customizing the ERP system for production planning.

Major role was to make a balance between the targeted inventory value and material availability.
To achieve this target, I used to do the following on regular basis.
a. Close monitoring of stock levels for more than 10,000 raw materials and around 40,
000 finished goods with the help of Oracle system.
b. Issue of purchase requests through Oracle to replenish the diminishing stock levels.
c. Optimization of safety stocks based on consumption patterns, budget, deviation from
forecast etc.
d. Follow-ups with all departments concerned to bring the requested material to store
on time.
Achievements- Actively participated in implementing ERP system in MESC warehouses
located in different countries (KSA, UAE & Jordan). Orion system was replaced with Oracle
during my tenure.
