INTRODUCTION In recent years,the faculty of architecture design and development has expirience a rapid increase in population,causing a strain on its physical resources,and hence necessitating the exploration of a novel idea of separation and design of a separate school of architecture.The new school of architectue would free space within the existing FADD building to be used by the school ofv art and design,School of planning,and school of real estate and construction management ,jointly used spaces such us the workshop and space 10, environmental laboratory and exhibition spaces would continue to be used by the school of architecture. The building has been design to respect the site topography and more importantly the existing FADD building the design intends to tame the spirit
of learning spaces through creation of serene, learning conducive environment that evokes creaivity and thinking
The fore court is a stepped garden with an outdoor dining space,socializing and relaxation spaces that invites and usher you into the double
volume lobby of the building
Level one houses the department offices ,exihibition and studio space, the studio spaces have been stepped and are all connected by a
staircase so as to foster interaction and knowledge exchange between the senior and junior students,each studio has a balcony for unwinding
and relaxation
