This document discusses a group project to analyze and extend the structure of an existing 3-story bungalow. It outlines producing measured drawings of the bungalow without a provided floor plan. The group then created structural drawings showing columns, beams, and loads. Each group member also proposed individually extending the bungalow by no more than 100 square meters per floor using structural elements like columns, beams, slabs, and trusses.

3. 1.0Introduction
Inagroupof8,wearerequiredtoobtainfloorplanofabungalowandcarryoutananalysisonthestructuralframingandproduceasetofstructuraldrawingswhichincludesfoundationplan,groundfloorplan,firstfloorplan,secondfloorplanandroofplan.Individually,eachmemberhastoproposeanextensionworkofthebungalowthatdoesnotexceed100sq.mforeachfloor.Thisextendedareashouldbeframedusingstructuralmemberssuchascolumns,beams,slabsandtrusses.Next,wearerequiredtoidentifyandanalyzeaminimumof6beams,4columnsandtheloadactingonit.
Thecasestudythatwehavechosenisa3storeybungalow,whichislocatedinHartamasHeight,KualaLumpur.Thisbungalowisdevelopedsinceearly2009andcompletedinlate2010.Thebuiltupareaofasingleunitisapproximately573.2sq.m, whichincludesatotalof332.91sq.mbuiltareaand240.29sq.mcoveredexteriorarea.Thisbungalowconsistsofsub-basement,groundfloorandfirstfloor.Theinteriorofthisbungalowismadeupofanentertainmentroom,livingroom,dining,kitchen, bedrooms,guestroomandstudyroom;whiletheexteriorconsistsofaswimmingpool, carporchandayard.

4. 2.0MeasureDrawings
Nofloorplanwasobtainedduetotimeconstraint.Soaquickmeasureddrawingoftheofthehousewasmade,inordertoobtainthesizeoffloorplanandproceedtostructuralplansbyourownanalysis.

7. 3.0StructuralDrawing
Asetofstructuralplandrawingsareproducedbythegroup,locationsofcolumnsandbeamsarefoundthroughobservationandanalysis.Gridlinesarethenproducedafterfurtherdevelopinganddiscussionwiththetutor.
