About StreetGames
StreetGames is a leading sports charity that brings sport to the doorstep of young people in
disadvantaged communities across the UK.
StreetGames has reach across the UK with a network of 750 projects taking sport to the
doorstep of more than 50,000
young people each year.
StreetGames projects bring sport
to disadvantaged communities at
the right time, for the right price,
to the right place and in the right
style, thereby making it accessible
to those who stand to benefit
most.
StreetGames is proud that it
gives young people exactly what
they’re seeking – the chance to
enjoy sport, give back to their
communities and aspire to greater
things. The enthusiasm that this
breeds leads to an increase in
sports participation and recognition of the enjoyment that can be gained from taking part in
sport.
It’s not just us that think we’re on to
something good. StreetGames has been
recognised through various awards:
RSPH
Corporate Engagement Awards
Big Society Award
Charity Times Award
Children and Young People Now
Queen’s Diamond Jubilee
UK Coaching Awards
Business Charity Awards
National Lottery Award
About Us Girls
Us Girls is a StreetGames programme getting more young women and girls active in their local
community. In its first two years Us Girls engaged over 34,000 young people, we are now
working with over 100 organisations and aim to engage a further 40,000 by 2017.
In 2013, after a public vote, Us Girls won the National Lottery Award for Best Sports Project.
The award is fantastic recognition for every Us Girls project and their coaches, leaders and
volunteers who have worked hard to make fitness and sport accessible to so many women and
girls in disadvantaged communities.
