Smethwick Sports Academy & Hidden Talents Partnership United in Realising Peoples Potential <ul><li>Sports Clubs </li></ul>Annual Meeting, Consultation & Celebration 2010/11 <ul><li>The importance of sports in the life of a young person is invaluable and goes much further than the basic idea of keeping them off the streets or staying fit. </li></ul><ul><li>Urban United FC is playing a pivotal role in the regeneration of neighbourhoods in Sandwell and improving the quality of life. It is enabling young people to; </li></ul><ul><ul><ul><ul><li>Build on their existing strengths, skills and abilities; </li></ul></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><ul><li>Break unrealistic barriers; </li></ul></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><ul><li>Realise unexplored potentials and improve prosperity; </li></ul></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><ul><li>Take responsibility, build self-confidence and character, </li></ul></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><ul><li>Learn to endure sacrifice, and accountability; </li></ul></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><ul><li>And most importantly, sports is a tool to create a cohesive and disciplined society. </li></ul></ul></ul></ul>

Smethwick Sports Academy & Hidden Talents Partnership United in Realising Potential <ul><li>EMPLOYABILITY CAMPAIGN </li></ul><ul><li>The Campaign will be a new programme for Sandwell which will function in a proactive, holistic, innovative and enabling way to equip the unemployed community with the necessary skills and competencies for sustainable employment. </li></ul><ul><li>A key component of this campaign is to support unemployed people with innovative and creative thinking on developing social and business enterprises. </li></ul><ul><li>The programme will be managed by HTP </li></ul>Consultation <ul><li>Proposed Activities </li></ul><ul><li>Realising potential assessment </li></ul><ul><li>Job search and preparation </li></ul><ul><li>Creative minds for creative enterprises </li></ul><ul><li>Voluntary sector employment and leadership </li></ul><ul><li>Research and Volunteering for employment </li></ul><ul><li>Neuro-Linguistic Programming </li></ul><ul><li>And others... </li></ul>
