promoting schools and colleges.
On 20 February 2013 PTI launched
its 'Education Policy with plans to
introduce a uniform education
system with one curriculum for all
and education in mother tongue
and in Urdu at primary school.
The PTI believes in abolishing
feudalism, economic inequality and
government mismanagement.
The PTI promised to crack down on
police brutality, restructure the civil
service, reform the electoral system,
allow for a truly independent judiciary,
decentralize state power, and enforce
laws which extend personal liberty.
The PTI propose civilian control
of Pakistan's military. Imran
Khan also pledged to resign
should any terrorism take place
from Pakistani soil following
these reforms.

8. Chairman
IMRAN AHMED KHAN NIAZI
● Imran Ahmed Khan Niazi was born in Lahore,
Pakistan on 5th October, 1952 to Ikramullah Khan
Niazi Shermankhel and Shaukat Khanum (Burki
clan). He was the only son of the family, and
grew up amongst four strong sisters. His
educational journey began at Aitchison College
and the Cathedral School in Lahore where he
finished middle school; and then entered the
Royal Grammar School, Worcester, before
completing his formal education with an
undergraduate degree in Economics, Political
Science and History from Keble College, Oxford.
While at University, Imran Khan was also the
captain of the Oxford University cricket team in
1974.

SAIFULLAH KHAN NIAZI
● Saifullah Sarwar Khan Niazi joined PTI in June
1996 at the tender age of 22. His political thought
was nurtured by none other than Imran Khan as
he had the unique opportunity to work intimately
with his leader and mentor for nearly two
decades of his formative years. Eventually, he
worked his way up to become Additional
Secretary General of PTI in 2009. He organized
the party at the grassroots level which helped PTI
build momentum up till the 30 Oct 2011 Jalsa. He
also organized most of the important PTI events
including the 2014 Dharna.

SHAH MEHMOOD QURESHI
● Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi is a prominent
politician of Pakistan. He is also an agriculturist.
Qureshi is current Senior Vice Chairman of Pakistan
Tehreek e Insaf. Early Life and Education Shah
Mahmood Qureshi was born on 22 June, 1956 at
Murree. He belongs to a noble, religious and political
family of Multan. Qureshi received his early education
from Aitchison College, Lahore. He received a
Bachelor's degree in History from Forman Christian
College. Qureshi also received a Master's degree in
Law and Politics from University of
Cambridge(England). He is married and has 3 children.
Qureshi’s father Makhdoom Sajjad Hussain Qureshi
was Governor of Punjab(1985-1988) and his
grandfather Makhdoom Mureed Hussain Qureshi was
Member of Legislative Assembly in British India.

ASAD UMAR
● Born in 1961 in Rawalpindi, Pakistan, Asad Umar is
currently one of the most prominent leaders of
Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf.
● His father was an Army officer and his family has a
long history of military career. He is the youngest
among 7 siblings. Umar graduated as an MBA
from the Institute of Business Administration,
Karachi in 1984. Although he is a renowned
political figure, he is equally famous and
respected because of his role and contribution in
Pakistan’s corporate sector.

PARVAIZ KHATTAK
● Pervez Khattak born in 1 January 1950, He is a Pakistani
politician, parliamentarian who is serving as the Chief
Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He also served as the
Irrigation Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and twice Minster
of Industries & Labour in the past. Khattack relinquished his
elected post as the Secretary General of Pakistan Tehreek-
e-Insaf on 25 September to Jahangir Tareen.
● Khattak is renowned for his reformist views of Pakistan's
poitical system, he prioritised accountability in his own
government, increased education enrolment, instituted
reforms in the police and security sector, anti-polio
campaign and plans infrastructure projects such as
improving the transportation network He also planned to
revive the local economy by helping to rebuild tourism in
the area While for the long term, he plans industrialisation
of the economy and a reduction in red tape.

Technology
FAWAD CHAUDHRY
● Fawad Chaudhry is a lawyer by profession and
politician by passion. He joined the media only a
few years ago but has emerged as a powerful
voice on our television screens.
● Chaudhry belongs to a prominent political family
of Punjab – his grandfather and other family
members have occupied various important
positions in the past. He himself has been the
adviser to the Prime Minister of Pakistan. Fawad
Chaudhry has served as the Secretary Information
and Central Spokesman for the Pakistan Tehreek-
e-Insaf (PTI).

MEHMOOD KHAN
● Mahmood Khan is member of provincial
assembly from PK-84 Swat-V . He holds a
degree of M.Sc. in agriculture.
● He aims to serve the country under the
leadership of Imran Khan. He has done a
great job on the ground to bring a positive
change according to the idealogy of PTI.

UMER DAR
● Umer Dar is the president of PTI
central Punjab. He belongs to Sialkot
and an old member of PTI. Umer Dar
has performed well on ground and
connected with the workers and
aims to serve the country under the
leadership of Imran Khan.

MURAD SAEED
● A poet whose verses would reflect the innocent late-
teens dreams, a debater who would always end his
speeches with a hope. An Environmentalist by
profession, to this widely known student of University
of Peshawar, realities came up as a total surprise with
the movement for the restoration of Judiciary in early
2007 and then as a shock with the emergency
imposed in November 2007 by -the then President-
Musharaf. Murad decided to materialize his words and
aimed to fight for the survival of the hope he have
been giving via his speeches. 22nd November 2007
was when he started collecting like-minded students
under the flag of 'INSAF' in University of Peshawar.
17. • Shaukat Khanum Memorial
Trust :
Imran khan focus on social work. In
1991 he had founded the Shaukat
Khanum memorial trust a charity
organization bearing the name of his
mother. Khan established first cancer
hospital constructed using donation
and funds exceeding 25 billion raised
from all over the world.
Achievements of PTI
18. • The Namal University:
The Institute is located on 30 km, Talagang Mianwali
Road near Namal Lake. Initially, it was established as
an affiliated college of the University of Bradford, UK.
Later in 2019 Namal College acquired a DAI (Degree
Awarding Institute) status and thus became Namal
Institute. Imran Khan is the chairman of Board of
Governors Namal Education Foundation which is the
sponsoring body of Namal Knowledge City including
this institute. The initial 40 kanal of land area for this
institute was provided by a local resident Ghulam
Muhammad Seelu. Now it has more than 1000 acres of
land overlooking the Namal Lake. There are more than
300 students studying in this institute for whom more
than 90% are on financial support.

19. 1997 & 2002 General Elections
In the 2002 general
elections, party chairman
Imran Khan won one seat
from Mianwali.
Less than one year after its
founding, PTI contested the
1997 general elections.
Imran Khan stood in seven
constituencies across
Pakistan but did not win a
majority in any.
20. PTI openly boycotted the Pakistani
general election on 18 February
2008 because it believed that the
election was fraudulent.

21. On 21 April 2013 Khan, the chairman of PTI, launched his
campaign for the 2013 elections from Lahore where he
addressed supporters at The Mall, Lahore followed by
prayers at the Data Durbar Complex. which was followed
by large rallies in Dera Ismail Khan.
On 22 April 2013 Khan addressed different public
meetings in Malakand, Lower and Upper Dir District
where he announced that PTI will introduce a uniform
education system in which the children of rich and poor
will have equal opportunities.
