In this session, we are going to learn about the tools of rigging and the
essentials required for rigging.
Rigging is basically making a connection between two or more objects.
Rigging is done before animation so that we may easily create animation.
Rigging can be done for both organic and inorganic (mechanical).
Organic rigging: - organic rigging includes bone setups and skinning. We
can create mesh while modeling for making that mesh moving like a
character we have to create bones.This creating of bones and joining it to
mesh with the help of skinning is known as organic rigging.
Inorganic (mechanical) Rigging: - inorganic or mechanical rigging is the
rigging of mechanical objects or the mesh that is other than character
models. We can rig any machinery like object with the help of rigging. We
can provide controller or attributes for the animators for convenient work.

There are several tools that we use for creating rigs in Maya. They are as

Inorganic rigging has several tools and parameters through wich you can
easily change and manipulate the options into it. So it has constrains which
will allow you to fixed the values of a particular position. Parenting means to
link up between child to parent. Set driven key will allow to load between the
driver and driven. Attributes will allow you to insert sertain values into it.
And there are many more will have different features according to our need.
