This document describes a missile detection and automatic destruction system. It uses an ultrasonic sensor and microcontroller to detect objects, calculate distances, and display them on an LCD screen. When an object is detected, a stepper motor rotates the sensor and a laser targeting system aims at the object. The system then automatically destroys detected missiles. It allows discrete distance measurement over long ranges and future versions could integrate more advanced tracking capabilities.
3. ABSTRACT
This proposed system used an Ultrasonic module interfaced to a
microcontroller of 8051.
An ultrasonic transducer comprising of a transmitter and receiver are
used. The transmitted waves are reflected back from the object and
received by a transducer again.
The total time taken from sending the waves to receiving it calculated
by taking into consideration the velocity of sound.
The distance is calculated by the program running in microcontroller
and displayed on an LCD screen interfaced to the microcontroller
through ZigBee wireless communication. ZigBee Hardware Module
6. MICROCONTROLLER
It has a modified hardware architecture 8-bit RISC processor code.
The ATMEGA 328 is a single chip microcontroller created by
Atmel in the mega AVR family.
7. LCD SCREEN
LCD (liquid crystal display) screen which consists of two
lines with 16 character each.
Contrast on display depends on the power supply
voltage and whether messages are displayed in one or
two lines.
8. ULTRASONIC TRANSDUCER
Ultrasonic transducer are used in systems which evaluate
targets by interpreting the reflected signal.
Ultrasound is used for measuring speed and direction.
9. L293 (DRIVER MOTOR)
• L293D is a typical driver motor or Motor driver IC which
allows DC motor to drive on either direction.
• It is a 16-pin IC which can control a set of two DC motors
simultaneously in any direction.
10. STEPPER MOTOR
It is a class of rotary electrical motor that converts electrical
energy into mechanical energy.
Its speed can be controlled over a wide range of variable
supply voltage ,which rotates 180 degrees.
11. LASER LIGHT
LASER ( light amplification stimulated by emission of
radiation) creates and amplifies electromagnetic radiation
of a specific frequency through the process of stimulated
emission.
Laser light system creates a sharp light beams, highly
focused over long distances.

15. FUTURE SCOPE
By using microcontroller we can implement the
intelligent system in future.
In future it can be used as an advanced tracking system
along high intensity camera to track a real target.
16. CONCLUSION
• The Ultrasonic transceiver (Transmitter & Receiver) detects missile object and displays
distance on LCD through Microcontroller based Zigbee wireless communication
standard. The sensor is fitted on antenna and is rotated and controlled by stepper
motor through 360 degrees and also with up and down directions. If there is any
target within the detection range, the application will turn the launcher to the nearest
detected target and fires.
• The launching system can be modified to aim at missile object in three axis rotation by
following the Ultrasonic transceiver data.
