10. A
year
aIer
high
school
I
enlisted
into
the
Army.
10
11. I
worked
hard
to
advance
my
career
as
quick
as
possible.
Even
though
I
began
to
enjoy
what
I
did
in
the
Army
it
wasn’t
what
I
loved
to
do
and
I
began
to
become
displeased
at
where
I
was
in
life.
I
wasn’t
sure
if
I
should
s@ck
out
the
rest
of
my
@me
and
re@re
or
find
a
career
that
I
love.
11
12. I
met
someone
who
had
been
making
beats
before
they
came
into
the
Army.
I
would
hang
out
with
him
and
other
friends
on
the
weekends
while
he
either
played
some
of
his
beas
or
made
new
ones.
One
day
he
got
me
to
sit
down
and
create
something
with
him
and
since
then
I
had
been
in
love
with
make
beats/producing.
12
17. I
always
want
o
do
the
best
that
I
can
at
whatever
I
do.
I
believe
that
there
is
always
room
for
progression
and
if
you
are
not
progressing
then
you
are
not
working
hard
enough.
17
18. Being
recognized
by
people
who
know
me
is
good
but
when
you
dedicate
yourself
to
your
craI
and
become
known
on
a
higher
plaVorm
it
gives
you
a
bigger
boost
of
confidence.
18
19. The
idea
is
not
to
just
get
recognized
from
working
with
mainstream
ar@st
but
to
find
an
ar@st
myself
and
help
develop
his/her
talent
to
also
be
recognized
on
a
higher
plaVorm.
19
20. Talent
can
get
me
to
the
big
stage
but
if
I
need
more
than
that
to
stay
there.
I
need
to
con@nuously
push
myself
to
newer
levels
while
being
prepared
for
any
opportuni@es
that
may
come
along.
20
21. Producing
music
can
be
very
detailing.
While
I
might
make
some
good
instrumentals
I
need
to
be
able
to
match
the
right
person
for
the
right
sound.
I
have
to
be
able
to
not
only
create
but
to
tailor
produc@ons
to
peoples
style
as
if
I
were
fiYng
them
for
a
tuxedo
or
a
dress.
21
22. Even
if
I
may
never
achieve
the
goals
I
set
for
myself,
the
opportunity
to
even
chase
my
dreams
will
be
good
enough
for
me.
I
try
to
stay
humble
for
even
being
able
to
have
this
opportunity.

Always being at church meant being at rehearsals for upcoming services.
I started my musical journey in elementary playing the trumpet and would go on to learn other instruments through my time in school.
By high school I learned the basics of playing the piano and I switched to playing snare on the drum line.
I intended to go to college where I would major in music and most likely become a band teacher
Personal reasons deferred me from college and would send me on a temporary different path.
A year after high school I enlisted into the Army.
I worked hard to advance my career as quick as possible. Even though I began to enjoy what I did in the Army it wasn’t what I loved to do and I began to become displeased at where I was in life. I wasn’t sure if I should stick out the rest of my time and retire or find a career that I love.
I met someone who had been making beats before they came into the Army. I would hang out with him and other friends on the weekends while he either played some of his beas or made new ones. One day he got me to sit down and create something with him and since then I had been in love with make beats/producing.
After I ended my career with the Army, I researched school that could study music production and found Full Sail to be my best choice.
Studying at Full Sail has given me more insight to music production compared to my idea of just creating beats.
Attending Full Sail has helped me focus on my craft.
I always want o do the best that I can at whatever I do. I believe that there is always room for progression and if you are not progressing then you are not working hard enough.
Being recognized by people who know me is good but when you dedicate yourself to your craft and become known on a higher platform it gives you a bigger boost of confidence.
The idea is not to just get recognized from working with mainstream artist but to find an artist myself and help develop his/her talent to also be recognized on a higher platform.
Talent can get me to the big stage but if I need more than that to stay there. I need to continuously push myself to newer levels while being prepared for any opportunities that may come along.
Producing music can be very detailing. While I might make some good instrumentals I need to be able to match the right person for the right sound. I have to be able to not only create but to tailor productions to peoples style as if I were fitting them for a tuxedo or a dress.
Even if I may never achieve the goals I set for myself, the opportunity to even chase my dreams will be good enough for me. I try to stay humble for even being able to have this opportunity.
