• The great depression was a saviour world wide economic depression that took
place during the 1930.
• In the united states the great depression began soon after the stock market crash
of oct.1929

• Coming out of the 1920,the silhouette was still elegant but free of flat lines with natural
curves
• The waist return to its natural position and hem lines drape down again

• The feed sack dress became popular as this time, women realized they could take the sacks
that the animal feed came in an up cycle into the clothing

•Teen girls started wearing tighter fitted sweatere,jeans
Trousers.
•Fur was in an so floral patterns.

5. 1930-1932
•Clothes are made formal with use pleats,godets,short angle and bell
sleeve,circular.cuts with ruffles, emphasis on cliling fabrics round the hips. Flowing
loose trousers are make a real alternative as casual resort wear.
1933-1937
•The waist get as its natural position longer bias cut and inverted pleated skirts,
clothes sometimes show soft sleeve and yokes,althought tailored garment are often
sharp and snappy with crisp lines.
1938-1939
•As war approached garments took on a more business like air, rising hemlines and
lines seam with a belt.
