This document outlines the criteria for several awards that will be presented at the Annual AICLA Diary Presentation on 10 December 2015 at the Crown Palladium. The awards recognize individuals or businesses who have demonstrated outstanding customer service, professionalism and excellence in their work serving the insurance industry. Candidates must submit a profile of no more than 1500 words addressing criteria such as examples of excellent customer service, commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, industry leadership, and testimonials from insurance leaders. 2015 AICLA (Vic) Awards
1. To be presented at the Annual AICLA Diary Presentation

2. This award recognises a Loss Adjuster who has demonstrated outstanding customer service, professionalism
and excellence.
The candidate must have worked in the loss adjusting industry in excess of 2 years and is a current member of
AICLA.
A profile of no more than 1500 words should be submitted addressing the following criteria:
Examples of claims where they have shown outstanding customer service, professionalism and excellence
which goes beyond the responsibilities of their day to day job - 25%
• Commitment to the highest standards of service and expertise. Please provide examples - 15%
• Examples of industry leadership, such as involvement in industry representative bodies and industry
professional development - 15%
• Commitment to ongoing personal learning and professional development - 15%
• Emphasis on the highest professional standards, as demonstrated through their own practices and the
encouragement of professionalism among their team and peers - 20%
• Testimonials from two Insurance leaders - 10%

3. This award recognises a TRAINEE loss adjuster who has demonstrated outstanding customer service,
professionalism and excellence.
The candidate must be employed in the field of loss adjusting and have no more than 2 years of experience in
loss adjusting.
A profile of no more than 1500 words* should be submitted addressing the following criteria:
• Examples of claims where they have shown outstanding customer service, professionalism and excellence
which goes beyond the responsibilities of their day to day job - 25%
• Commitment to excellence and innovation within their business and/or role. Please provide examples - 20%
• Commitment to the highest standards of service and expertise. Please provide examples - 15%
• Examples of industry leadership, such as involvement in industry representative bodies and industry
professional development - 15%
• Commitment to ongoing personal learning and professional development - 15%
• Testimonials from two Insurance leaders - 10%

professionalism and excellence in their role. The candidate must have worked in the Insurance industry in
excess of 2 years and is a currently employed in a back office claims environment.
A profile of no more than 1500 words should be submitted addressing the following criteria:
• Examples of claims where they have shown outstanding customer service, professionalism and excellence
which goes beyond the responsibilities of their day to day job - 25%
• Commitment to the highest standards of service and expertise. Please provide examples - 15%
• Examples of behaviour and practices by the Claims Support Person which exemplifies excellence in your
business - 15%
• Commitment to ongoing personal learning and professional development - 15%
• Emphasis on the highest professional standards, as demonstrated through their own practices and the
encouragement of professionalism among their team and peers - 20%
• Testimonials from two Insurance leaders - 10%

professionalism and excellence in their field.
The builder must provide services to the Insurance industry and be on at least one Insurer / Loss Adjusting
panel.
Submissions should address the following criteria in relation to Australian operations-
The submission should be 1500 words or less:
• How the business is set up and structured including an overview of the services offered to add value to
Insurance clients - 15%
• Innovation and responsiveness to client needs, describing the benefits and including evidence of client
satisfaction - 25%
• Case Study showing innovation and responsiveness as outlined above - 25%
• Testimonials from two senior Insurance leaders whom had direct dealings with case study - 10%
• Commitment to the Australian Insurance industry. Please provide examples - 10%
• What makes your business exceptional - 15%
