redeem her position in the society - a position that is
not refrained within the walls of her home but one that
wants to conquer the world!

7. Gayathri M
ï” Gayathri M- IRS had her schooling at Kendriya
Vidyalaya Kanjikode and KV Pattom and
graduation at Govt Engineering College,
Barton Hill in Electronics & communication
Engg. In the year 2014 after completing her
post graduation (M-Tech) in VLSI &
Embedded System from NIT Surat, she
proceeded to prepare for civil service exam
with economics as her optional. The following
year she cleared UPSC civil service exam in
her first attempt and was allotted the Indian
Revenue Service (Income tax).
8. ï” After 16 months of training Ms Gayathri was posted as Asst
Commissioner of Income Tax, Corporate Circle in Kochi.
ï” She was promoted as Deputy Commissioner of Income tax in Dec
2020 and is currently working as Associate Course Director for the
new batch of IRS trainees in National Academy of Direct taxes,
NADT.
ï” She holds PGDM in Business law from NLSIU, Bangalore and is
pursuing MA
Economics from IGNOU.
ï” Her other interests include Racquet sports, travelling, dance and
theatrics.
9. Anu Joshy
ï” Anu Joshy did her schooling at Kendriya
Vidyalaya Kanjikode and her plus two in Arts
at Harisree, Poonkunnam Trissur and joined
IIT Chennai to pursue her studies in
Economics, switched over to English
studies and took her Masters Degree in
English. She was the batch topper. She
started preparing in earnest for civil
services examination and cleared the Civil
Services examination in 2020 and was
allotted the Indian Revenue Service.
10. ï” She is a poetess too and has to her credit three
anthologies â âWhen My Heart Speaksâ, âof the
lesser knownâ and âWith Blue Ink Of the
Oceansâ.
11. Prabha Prakash
ï” Prabha Prakash is a Chartered Accountant, who likes to
describe herself as an auditor who loves words more than
numbers. She is presently working as an Assistant Manager
with EY Cochin in Assurance service line. She studied in KV
Kanjikode from 1997 to 2009 and was the topper of XII
Commerce Stream and secured All India 6th Rank at KVS level
in AISSCE 2009 and 3rd position in Chennai Region. She also
received the CBSE Merit Award in 2009. She completed
Chartered Accountancy in May 2014 and BCom with
specialization in Accounting and Finance from IGNOU. She
started her career with Price Waterhouse Coopers (PwC)
Chennai, after which she moved to EY. She is the recipient of
Gold Standard Award from EY for living the firm values and
being a role model. She has also acted as a Resource person
and handled workshops and training sessions on IFRS and
Auditing.
12. ï” She is passionate about writing and maintains a blog âEpiphanic Momentsâ,
www.endlesselan.blogspot.in, which is listed in indiantopblogs. Her first collection of poetry,
âLost Monsoonâpublished by Writersâ Workshop, Kolkata was released in January 2019 at KV
Kanjikode Republic Day Celebrations. She is the recipient of the Reuel International Prize for
Poetry, 2019. She was selected as a Distinguished Poet in the Contest for Rabindranath Tagore
Award International 2020. She has contributed poems to various anthologies and e-journals of
repute like Kalaage, Ink Drift magazine and Delhi Poetry Slam. She has been selected as the
winner and also received commendable mentions in On Fire Cultural Movement for her poems.
Her poems, âA Lost Monsoonâ,âA whiff of the pastâ and âShangri-Laâ, were selected as âHighly
Commendedâ poems by Destiny Poets, International Community of Poets, UK. She also writes
occasionally for Times of India Blogs and is a regular contributor of Glomag. She firmly believes
that penning ideas on paper has helped her retain the warmth within and keep moving forward
with a ray of hope. Besides writing, she is passionate about teaching and Carnatic music. She
considers the foundation laid by her teachers of KV Kanjikode to be the indomitable strength
that drives her ahead.

16. Meera Murali

join the Indian Army and serve the motherland â and she

17. Prabha P P
ï” Prabha completed her schooling from Kendriya
Vidyalaya Kanjikode and did B.Tech in Electrical
and Electronics Engineering from Ahalia School of
Engineering and Technology, Palakkad and M.tech
in Renewable Energy Technologies from Amrita
Vishwa Vidyapeedam, Ettimadai. She joined
ANERT(Agency for new and renewable energy
research and technology) as a District Project
Engineer in January 2020. Her areas of
specialisation are solar and wind resource
assessment along with wind forecasting using deep
neural networks and other artificial intelligence tools.
18. ï” In ANERT, her job roles include checking solar and wind
site feasibility, as well as supervision and installation of
the solar rooftop and surface-mounted power plants in
the local self-governing bodies as well as in government
departments and installation of electric vehicle charging
stations in Palakkad district â the need of the hour.
19. ï” These women are just a stars in the firmament of KVK. There are many
unsung heroines out there who don multiple hats -many whose thankless
services make the lives of their families better, others who never complain
about being home makers even when they have their professional
commitments to attend to. As the poet Thomas Gray rightly sang:
âFull many a gem of purest ray serene
The dark unfathom'd caves of ocean bear:
Full many a flower is born to blush unseen,
