Tsunami:- Series of waves generated by an undersea
disturbance such as an earthquake.
Hurricanes:- A hurricane is a tropical storm with winds,
having constant speed of 74 mph or more.
4. Floods & cloud bursting:-

can roll boulders, tear out trees,
destroy buildings, and
obliterate bridges.

Uttrakhand.
5. Uttrakhand tragedy
From 14 to 17 June 2013, Uttrakhand received
heavy rainfall.
The heavy rains resulted in large flash floods and
massive landslides.
The rain fall was above the normal benchmark.

need for the development of mechanisms for better
management of tourism and the tourist.
Proper land use policies should be framed in order to
regulate construction .
Green development is far most important.
Remote sensing technology should be used.

Lastly I conclude that these calamities and destruction
may primarily be caused by nature but they are man-
made too.
Man may progress in all fields but when nature is
against him, that’s the end of mankind.
The tragic floods of Uttrakhand are a warning to us to
stop playing with nature.
